Would a win at Florida get you back on board?

I put that Jauk guy on ignore a while ago. He personally attacks people for giving their opionion and I don't want to read the crap he writes.

Anyway UK isn't beating Florida. If by some miracle they did I would be happy for I'm 27 and never witnessed it but I will still doubt six wins unless they beat USC and Vandy too. I have been watching UK sports for 20 years so I'm not going to stop watching them play but I'm not going to have any expectations.

Still think the team is and will be built. I'm just shocked at how bad we are and how far away we still are.

Especially going up against a first year coach and our own failed OC working from a conference USA platform

We may get there, but it's not wrong to point out we are an absolute train wreck right now

See, "trainwreck" is being far too kind IMO. We not only lost a home opener, while favored, to a C-USA team, in horrible fashion, to our ex-OC... but he absolutely de-panted and exposed our defensive weaknesses for the entire schedule to utilize IN THE FIRST GAME! I mean, you wanna talk bad losses, this is it. Worst case scenario AND at the worst possible time. That 'curse of the bear' **** is looking more and more plausible all the time.

When you mentally put together a timeline that see's UK not only firing a coach, but having to scramble to fill a sudden hole in their schedule, and the game they get ends up being against THE team that just so happened to hire the guy that knew your defensive personnel and scheme better than anybody... that's cosmic **** right there, man. Cosmos, karma, whatever... there are dark powers at play with UKFB.

If the cats can win 6 games this yr and go to a bowl I will be back on board..
For the Cats to even gain minimum bowl eligibility they would have to go 4-4 in SEC play. A tall task indeed. Only the better UK teams in the modern era have been able to do that, and I don't think UK has ever won 5 SEC games in a season since the Curci era. And yes, I am counting the UL game as a loss.

And I think that the last time we won 4 SEC games was under Brooks 2006 or 2007. Just don't like our chances.

It's not often, though, we have 4 SEC opponents that are as bad as we are; of course, I am not certain that they are bad as we are, but they may well be. It's not out of the question that they are even worse. Last year, only three SEC teams stunk as bad as we did. Add Miss. St. to the list this year, unless Saturday was a fluke.

Though a good one, the inability to close out a Sun Belt conference team in your home opener doesn't bode well for this team going to the Swamp.

I dont necessarily even need a win.

Play tough football.

Battle on the lines - protect the QB, open some holes. Dont get pushed around on defense.

No stupid coaching mistakes.

If we lose lets lose due to the huge talent and depth disparity not because of lack of heart, terrible fundamentals and poor coaching.

Agreed Brian, Good post!

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

It would bring me back for sure but it's not going to happen, it is delusional to suggest it. The best thing about the game is the number of games Stoops will have left will be down to 22.

I'm upset like everyone else, but I'm still on board. Some acts like this is something new. I've been watching (or listening) for 50 yrs so I'm used to being upset with UK football. I'll be in "The Swamp" Saturday hoping we make a good showing.

Of course I'd be back on board.

Then again, a text from Kate Upton would make me feel nice as well but that's probably not going to happen.

So far, you are winning the battle, congratulations, I know you are enjoying that.

Perhaps I am still pumping the sunshine because I have never been one to give up easily, I still think it is POSSIBLE (NOT likely) that the first half team shows up at Florida instead of the second half one. It would take a tremendous attitude adjustment though, but I will still be putting my money on the Cats-----with the points, of course, the ONE thing this game might have helped,

What was that LSU score anyway, 48-0, 49-0?

Were you here then, were you backing Brooks then? LOL

And no, I still haven't given up on the team, and still think all your negativity does nothing but hurt recruiting, we do have some very good commits so far.
It's season 4 man. I believe that happened in season 3. I'm not upset about getting blown out by a powerhouse. I am upset about giving games away to vandy and the terrible OC we just fired. He's a bad head coach man. And the talent disparity between that team and Brooks team is hilarious. What kind of facilities and upgrades did Brooks have to work with for recruiting? Compare stoops recruiting room to Brooks. Brooks had some tables with some metal chairs as a recruiting room. Stoops has a freaking part of the stadium dedicated to recruits visiting in a state of the art facility. Quite frankly the 2 situations aren't comparable.

Can't believe you finally made a post that didn't include how great you are or your perfect predictions or your immeasurable football knowledge...

I can actually like one of your posts. I won't, but I could.

To be honest man. Like it or not. My predictions/outlook for the season are usually spot on. Everything I said about stoops in the offseason, his refusal/failure at making in game/halftime adjustments, his terrible game preperation. His franicky coaching style. People hate hearing it so they blast me. But hell if being wrong and naive is how they want to live so be it. I'm just here being a realist. As I said before the season we will go 5-7, 4-8 if we lose to USM. And stoops will have proven for another season that he has learned nothing in his on job training. Making the same mistakes he made day one. I'm just tired of it at this point. I'm tired of sucking. I don't like being right about these things all the time, every time, no matter what.

You know how much I would love to one day say, hey jauk, you were actually right man. But I don't think that day will ever come. I legit think he's always going to be wrong about everything no matter what especially since he bases all of football around numerical ratings in which rivals gives high school players. As if the opposing players on the field are saying to us "what was the numerical rating rivals gave you out of high school 3-4 years ago bro? Oh shoot 5.9 4 star?? We don't stand a chance man. Shucks!" Unfortunately for jauk that's not how the outcome's of game's are decided, but he'll try and convince you otherwise!!! But deep down. I really do wish I could tell jauk, hey man, you were right, I was wrong. I really do wish that day would come and I'm tired of not being able to admit I was wrong. But in actuality, I'm as spot on as my girlfriend once a month.

Jauk feels entitled because he never questions the coaching staff or team. He's arguably the worst fan. He's the type of fan is why we have been bad for so long
Right. Depends on what or whom you're a fan of, though. Fans of the football team get upset when they lose and demand changes so they will win. Fans of the administration and the staff gaslight the fans of the team when they lose and demand that the fans get in line behind the administration.

I'll let you figure out which group jauk11 is a fan of.

I also had a very bad feeling after the easy score USM got just before the half, perhaps a hangover from the Transfer U game last year. I think the team night have remembered that game also.

The team needs an attitude adjustment, maybe not as bad as the fans though.
Yes please continue with your gaslighting. Perhaps you can get everyone on the same side - against you.

Absolutely. That being said, this team can ill-afford another late game collapse. It's happened far too often it seems and just kills team confidence levels.

I personally have reached my limit as far as my emotional investment into UK football goes...

I'll continue to watch the games when it's convenient, but my "give a crap" is pretty much gone.

We'd have to REALLY turn it around for me to even care at this point.

Of course it would get me back on board. However, even with a Florida win, the only way to salvage the season is to win 6 games. We can lose to Florida but if we win 6 it would make up for a first week loss.
