. . . . Mitch starting the game or relieving Glennon at some point? To be honest, I wish MT was starting the game, but Glennon did OK when the OC allowed him to pass more often. I don't think Glennon lost the game for them.

Too bad Glennon cannot move out of or move up in the pocket when the rush is approaching, whereas, MT has that ability to prolong drives with his feet against second-third stringers. Just seems Glennon has no sense of that.

And why was Darren Sprowles Jr. not in the game for the first three downs?

They didn't lose this game because of Glennon. If Howard catches the ball at the goal line we aren't having this discussion.

Still too many mistakes - simple stuff.

Glennon has limitations for sure but Bellamy and Howard (really bad) dropped game winning TDs.
Glennon is borderline at best as an NFL starting QB but it's hard for me to put a ton of blame on him for this loss.
There will be other future losses where we can pile on Mr. Glennon, don't worry.

I agree. I thought once the playing calling became less conservative, Glennon did pretty good. Not sure how he's going to playout the rest of the season, but he deserves to start game two.

Over/under on number of games started before a change at QB is 8.

Agree that this one can't be pinned on Glennon, but he is career backup, which is not the worst thing to say about an NFL QB.

Here is your receiving corps

Thompson
Bellamy
Wheaton

Anyone know what two of the three did today?

Wheaton gets a pass for not suiting up - this might be the worst receiving corps in history.

In fairness, Bellamy was held in the end zone which interrupted his route and if he had made the catch it would have been an outstanding catch. I don't think it should have been caught, but I suppose it could have been.

As far as Howard goes, there is no guarantee, even if he makes the catch, he gets into the end zone. He played the ball just inside the 1 yard line and was hit immediately after touching it. The DB most likely would have driven him out of bounds short of the goal line. Which would have been fine. They would have been closer.

Too much meatheadedness going on.

It's not time to even put Trubisky out there with a weakened OL and the worst current available corps of receivers the NFL has seen in maybe decades.

Glennon performed okay and did what he's supposed to do IMO. Didn't turn it over and led them down the field (slowly), and got them in position to win.

I agree Trubisky shouldn't be playing yet.

But Glennon is a perfect example of a "game manager" No interceptions...no fumbles..and no wins either. Yeah, he got them down there but here they are sitting at 0-1. I am certainly not blaming him at all. But yesterday is about as good as it is going to get with him. That was about as good as he is going to play. Don't expect more. We all know what the Bears have in Glennon.

I really don't feel any better that the Bears "almost" won that game. But they seem to be headed in the right direction and that is a good thing. The bar is very low right now.

There are several things we can point to as to why the outcome was as it was.
