He is an excellent DC at a place where he can stockpile 5* talent. He is a silver spoon coach. Not a good fit here.
I can not fathom why he would leave the UGA program to come back here in the same capacity he has now. That is a unequivocal downgrade.
Our defense sucked with him here, and he was running the defense. Sure, we put a bunch of guys in the ligg, but they sucked as a unit here.

Muschamp satisfies my one and only criteria for our next DC: someone who has been a good DC at the P5 level.

So he's paid off now now, no strings attached, and the AD would look like a fool if we hired him back with a new salary.
