No he would not do that. But he his Scott’s mentor and would be right here and that would mean a lot.

Officially, no. He said when he left as AD he didn't want to be the guy "sticking his nose in things". Unofficially, of course he would.
If Frost is offered the NU job, he's not likely to turn it down regardless of whether T.O. is involved. I have laughed out loud at the idea that Frost would leave Oregon to become NU's offensive coordinator or take the ever-popular head coach in waiting position that doesn't exist. But if he's offered the HC job, I think he takes it.
He was about to take the OC position under Bo but he wanted complete control which No wouldn't relinquish.
But was that when Frost was already the OC at Oregon, or when he was a position coach? I agree he might have come to Nebraska for a promotion to OC - but not as a lateral move.
When Scott comes he will be consulting with Tom. Maybe not formally but they will be talking strategy.
Wherever he ends up, Frost will be walking into a mess. Unless he's planning on taking over for Saban when he retires.
