Would you like a rematch with Arkansas in the SECT?

No not really but I have been drinking a few hours.
First I'm a AR fan, 2nd I'm a sports fan.
I probably dislike Cal more than you but I'm not a KY hatter I pull for AR then any team in the SEC that is playing a out of conference game.
I will be pulling for KY in the NCAA unless you play us. Might be the year your coach gets his first ever tourney win! I watch a lot of games, a lot of times it comes down to something as simple as matchups or players being hot or cold. You shoot a ton of bricks your screwed, you make a ton of TO's your screwed, get outmatched and they drive to the hole and your screwed ETC ETC.
I’m not an Arky hater either. Big fan of the sport and definitely a true blue fan. Would love to face y’all again two more times. Good luck in all games other than UK ones
The way the seeding scenarios are shaping up it doesn't appear likely UK and Arkansas could meet in the early rounds. YES, I'd be happy to play them if it meant both teams made it to the SF or championship game!
The committee does some strange things, a 2nd round rematch would probably have massive TV ratings from both schools and just sports fans that their team is not playing I could see it prime time.
The win over Vandy put us 39th in the net ratings were 5/9 quad 1, 2/3 quad 2 with no q3or 4 losses.
We need the home win against state and were in the last 4 byes at the least, win a couple in the SECT and could move up to a 10/9/8th a matchup with Auburn on a neutral site I would like I think we match up good with them.
EDIT I wish the Boggie man went down before the conference games started, we are a much better TEAM without him. Not to wish injuries on a young man but just saying. We dropped every SEC game he played in I think.
We do miss mister bobble head getting us free throws but injuries are part of the game.

. Bring on all takers.Opps... I was wrong. Arkansas can reach a #9 seed in the SECT if they win at Miss State Saturday, and Georgia at home beats Vandy. Kentucky would likely end up with an #8 seed if they lose at Mizzou. There you go.... an 8/9 matchup with Cats and Hogs! This assumes Arkansas beats #16 SC in their first tournament game.
I’d rather see you guys in Dukes bracket. It will be interesting to see how the selection committee spreads out all the sec teams . I’m sure they will screw it up though.
Personally, I would rather not. Cal is capable of being a decent coach when he is motivated, and he hated us even when he was still our coach. If there is one game he will be motivated to actually show up for, it would be against us. More important than that, I just would prefer to avoid the shitshow that would come along with it. The game won't even be the focus if we play them.
That said, my feelings reverse if it is the championship game we meet them in. At that point any game is a circus so whatever. There are far better teams we could have to play in the SEC championship game, and Cal's butthole will be clenched so tight he won't be able to think straight.

I would welcome it. I think the Cats would beat them easily.
I want the easiest path to 2 wins in the SECT. After that I want the easiest path to winning the SECT. I'm inclined to think I'd rather face Arkansas than about 4 or 5 other teams.. but couldn't really care if we enact revenge or not.
Let us be Cal and Arky's superbowl. I never want Kentucky to see an opponent that way. We play for one thing above all else, to win the title. Beating our rivals is more of a sweetener, at best.

My worry with Cal and his teams are 1. his motivation to beat us. If only we had some of that during his last few years, he might have several more titles. and 2. the talent he has is NBA-level talent. I'd prefer to stay away from those teams as they inherently have a higher trajectory than most other college teams. At some point, guys like Richmond, Adou, and BigZ will be NBA level players who will dominate college players. I'd rather not be the opponent to find out when that is.
Agree with you. Cal is a coach that needs motivation and an enemy. He has both playing us now. I think we would win but I also think it's a tough matchup for us athletically. If we do play them I'd much rather it be for more at stake, say a friday or Saturday game. Prefer Saturday but I know won't happen due to seedings.
A this time of year, bring it on. Whomever you have to play, you have to go through them and if you want to achieve anything it never comes easy. You blow people out? You earned that by being an elite team.

I'd like to see if the UK Staff can compose a scouting report that would at least match that of the "Bennies" on the board who proved to know a lot more about how to attack the Hogs roster and make them beat you. One thing if you force an opponent to beat you with their weaknesses, another to let every player excel with the strengths.

Oddly enough, it really doesn't matter. Whoever is put up there, the Cats have to beat them to advance.

We probably get out of that game beat to hell even if we win. Not what you want in the first round of any tournament
I’m not sure they’d beat UK but I’d rather put some distance between UK and Cal so everyone will stop making it a bigger deal than it needs to be. Let him succumb to being just another chump coach that UK has a winning record against.
