An interesting take on this might be whether the selection committee would screw Duke more than Kentucky. Yes, it would be bad if UK had to play a 4 seeded-Duke in the Sweet Sixteen, but would the committee do that to Coach K?

I just can't see them putting Duke in Kentucky's regional, not in a historical Coach K season. That would be more of a screw job on Duke than it would be on Kentucky.

As usual if Duke happens to win that will somehow negate their earlier loss and they will either stay the same or rise in the rankings.

Would you guys like to see undefeated UK play undefeated Virginia for the title, or would you rather play a team that has a loss?

I would just assume not play a team like DUKE, who seems to get all the calls, until the FF

If Duke beats Virginia this weekend they will move up to #2 in the rankings.

At first I wanted Duke to win just because I wanted to distance UVA from UK however

Virginia losing takes the pressure off UK.

I'd like for the guys to have something to motivate them against having lackluster performances against the mediocre SEC teams.

I think Cal can point to UVA being undefeated against better in conference teams and keep our guys motivated

Virginia losing takes the pressure off UK.

For about 5 minutes then UK becomes even more scrutinized and bigger target as the lone unbeaten.

Notre Dame has the #2 ranked offense by Pomeroy, just 0.1 points behind Wisconsin. Notre Dame shot 28.6% on twos and scored 1.02 points per possession. Notre Dame's adjusted points per possession is 1.23. That's 17.1% worse and by far ND's worst offensive performance.

Hard to admit it, but Duke though it's a road game for them. I do think UVa loses one of their next 3. Tough choices all around when you consider it's Duke, UNC, and UL. At least some of them have to lose. If UVa wins those 3 I suspect they will pick up more votes for #1, and deservedly so.

UVa. Bumping up Puke's loss column by one makes it more likely they'll be the #2 seed in our bracket. I'm okay with that. Would rather have them than Notre Dame. Or ISU. Or Texas.

always like to see Duke get beat, but Virginia cost me $50,000 last year in the tournament challenge! I had them losing to Kentucky in the finals. Their early exit hurt badly. Even with Connecticut winning, I still finished in the top 100, but had to be in the top 20 for any cash....

If Duke drops the next game to UVA they (Duke) will be in a dogfight to hang on to a 2 or 3 seed. I still think there are a couple of other losses lurking on their schedule. The ACCT could save their a$$ but they could take a hit there as well.

As much as I enjoy Duke Losing, Virginia needs a loss, I don't approve of paper tigers.

Wahoooooooooooo! Every Duke loss is a hit on K's recruiting of top players. He can't win big with OAD types.

I hope UVA wins and I think they will win by 5-10 points. Duke is NOT as good as ESPN, Dick Vitale, and the rest want you to believe. They simply CAN NOT defend. They score lots of points when they rain 3's in, but when they aren't falling they resort to ramming it in to Okafor. Virginia won't allow all those 3's not only because they defend well, but also because Duke just doesn't shoot as well on the road. Virginia will slow this game a little, and Duke will get frustrated and shoot themselves out of the game.

Hope dook wins.

I hate the phrases "Hoo", "Wahoo", "Wahoowa" or anything similar to them. It's like some silly mating call.

As much as I hate Duke, we want them to win now. They will never be a number one seed now unless Arizona, Gonazga, or Kentucky go into free fall. So, this will end all the talk about Virginia being the top seed or as good as Kentucky, etc..

Virginia!! I would like to see two undefeated teams as #1 and #2 overall seeds in the tourney.
