If you could only choose one, which would it be:

1. A football team that never won more than 6 or 7 games a season, but beat Clemson 9 out of 10 years.

2. A football team that averaged 9 wins a season, but lost 9 out of 10 games to Clemson.

Honestly torn, so its a crappy answer. Would love consistent bragging rights though, since i live in the state.

If any of those 9 win teams give us a couple playoff births then I'd take that. If not, give me the 6-7 win teams.

"Averaging" 9 wins is awfully enticing. That means some 11-1 seasons to go with the 7-5 seasons, which means seriouly contending for SEC titles and #1 seeds every now and then. And if the stars alligned and the 1 out 10 against Clemson fell in one of those 11-win seasons, we're talking about a serious national champion contender.

Despite that, losing 9 of 10 to Clemson is unacceptable.

Number 1 would never happen. Realistic odds would prevent number 2 from happening. This is like asking would you rather live in Neverland or the Land of Oz.

No worries on this option. Cougars are solitary and do not run in packs.
Now a if you are talking about a pack of wolves, that would be terrifying.
So you weren't talking about this kind of cougar?
