Not really. Scotland & N. Ireland are drags on England economy (Scot GDP/person = 17K pound/yr. All of Britain around 22K/pounds including the Scots.). Scots are malcontents that don't appreciate what they got. England should wish them goodbye. Irish unification was going to happen sooner or later cause the Catholics there out birth the Protestants. So may happen soon vs. in 25-50 years.and our closest ally is about to tumble down the world ladder.
Scotland is going to secede to join the EU. Irish reunification is a legitimate possibility. Poor England & Wales are going to be left holding the bag.
Where are you getting those stats? N Ireland's GDP/capita is low (but still higher than Wales'), but Scotland is as high as anywhere in England besides Greater London itselfNot really. Scotland & N. So you exclude London from England? LOL. Wales has too few people to affect anything - except the Euro Cup. BTW, I was talking GDP, not the stat you picked.Where are you getting those stats? Fear will always eventually win. It's the primary driving force in humans.
Whether it's fear of the "other" (immigration), terrorism, health or losing your job. It breeds suspicion, hate and isolationism, all cloaked as nationalism.

What it shows is that the working people are tired of being used by the political class for profits while the workers pay taxes and get nothing.Historic decision.
