Come on, he signed two WRs somewhere in there.

Just joshing and I appreciate your inside/outside information, and I don't think Georgia will be down that long, we need to make hay while the sun shines. And it is hard to believe they are down that bad this year, they are still favored and I'm not at all sure they shouldn't be, still capable of a very good game, I hope this isn't the one.

And by the way, while the other positions may have suffered some you do have the #1 rated QB in the nation and two of the best RBs in the nation, this years production being an anomaly. Seems like LSU's Heisman candidate had a miserable game against Bama and just had a fantastic game last week, you never know when the turnaround might occur..

All our WR are basically the same, 5'10"-6' with average speed, have one quite a bit bigger but he seldom plays. Right now our starting WR are 5'10", 6' and 5'7". The only one who can get any separation is the 5'7" guy and he leads the team in drops. It isn't we don't recruit the 6'5" guys, we just don't sign any of them. Got some bigger ones committed for the 17 class, but that isn't helping this year.

I don't know what the stats say, but common sense tells me if we want to beat this UGA team, we better not have too many turnovers. When you have a lot of depth, it might not hurt so bad to turn the ball over. When you are not so deep, you better keep your defense off the field as much as possible. Our defense is pretty good. If we can get them rest by big drives from our offense, our defense will look even better. This UGA team doesn't scare me as much as they have in the past, but make no mistake about this team, they still have more talent on the field than us. Even if their QB ain't playing like it so far, the kid has talent or he would have never been rated so highly. It will click for the kid at some point and I hope it's not during our game. They still have a legit running game. If the dawg fan says they don't have any good wideouts, that makes me feel somewhat better. That will help our chances of winning the game. I hope our defense can get into their backfield so we can contain their running game. I do believe we beat UGA. It is going to be an ugly game from both teams. I will take an ugly win over pretty losses every day of the week. A win against this team will only improve our team's swagger and if we pull out the win, I'm picking Kentucky to upset UL at the end of the year. Our team could finally play without worrying about a bowl game or saving their coach's job. I can't wait until our team takes the field!

If yall dont think bama was vanilla against us i dont know what to tell you. i live 45 minutes from tuscaloosa and watch all their games. was not the same offense.

Not only vanilla, but they tried to run numerous stretch plays instead of right up the gut. 3rd and 3, run a stretch/toss aNd not pick it up.

But our defense, more than most teams stopped what was in front of them.

I would venture to say that if we were playing bame this week instead of when we did, we would see a lot more respect in regards to what lane kiffin draws up.

OK, here's the deal on turnovers. I have a database of stats for every FBS game back to 2002, and the following includes all 10,022 games from 2002 through 2015.

The first column is the PLUS TURNOVER number - if a team has two FEWER turnovers than the other team, it is PLUS TWO.
The second column is the number of games where one team has that turnover edge.
The third column is the number of games where the team with the turnover edge wins the game.
The fourth column is the percentage.
----tried to make these line up with Courier New, but.....

PLUS GAMES WINS PCT
1 3538 2289 64.7
2 2273 1766 77.7
3 1249 1078 86.3
4 569 513 90.2
5 211 204 96.7
6 59 58 98.3
7 18 18 100.0
8 5 5 100.0

These results are profound, if you ask me. Analysis of game stats over a long period of time shows that there is nothing that has more bearing on the outcome of the game. Just an edge of 1 in a game wins almost 2/3 of the time.

(Just as a point of interest, the one game where the team which was plus 6 and lost the game was: Marshall beat Memphis 23-22 on 11-17-2011, despite having 6 TO's to Memphis' 0. To add to the oddness, yardage stats were fairly even: Marshall 293, Memphis 277.)

Further analysis of the data shows that each turnover amounts to approx 5 points, meaning if you are -3 in a game, it (on the average) cost you 15 points.

Stats geek out....

Which is what makes it so crazy that UK has somehow gotten better the last four years as the turnovers have gotten worse!

Spent most of October back in Kentucky helping attend to my elderly dad. In one CJ article, CMS was quoted as saying (about turnovers), "we harp on it all the time". Hopefully, he realizes the brain doesn't hear the word "Don't" as in don't fumble. Harping on it will not be a good thing if done from a negative perspective. You must always say what you want, not what you don't want .. as in "Hold onto the ball"!

I dont think so.

Proud of the effort, and we fought against a very good team but.. no.

Watching Bama the very next week seemed to solidify my thoughts during he game that Kiffen was doing more "practicing drills" than serious game management.

Some will get upset at this and accuse me of not giving our guys credit or slamming the coaches, but it is not meant to mean either of these.

We fought as well as we ever had versus a much more talented team. I believe we gained some confidence even with the lopsided score.

But in my opinion, if Saban had wanted to, it could have been much worse. We are making strides and I hope it continues tomorrow.

I'm curious how the game will go if it's UK vs Alabama in the atl. I think a lot will be surprised at how different Alabama plays and looks if that game takes place.
