You said after the Iowa loss to NU. So that is the time on the boards I looked at. Yes, several weeks ago, a few people were talking about two-round BTT byes and debating whether NU could secure as high as a 6 seed. I and others made some fun of them, or at least said they were getting what ahead of themselves. However, after the Iowa win, there was no such talk. And that is what you originally stated. If you wish to change your point now and talk about some of those more recent posts, you at least have something to point to.

Wasn't the Iowa vs. N'Western game played in mid-January? The tone of this board was very positive on Cats future at that time.

So you're telling me, with a straight face, that after N'Western started the season something like 15 - 4 (up to / including the Iowa win) and then won 3 more in a row right after the Iowa game, that the majority of N'Western hoops fans weren't confident that they were in the Big Dance?!? If so, you folks are more insecure than I imagined.

Regardless of "this board", or much of N'Western's fanbase, or heck even the national media - all the early/to mid-season N'Western hype (just because it's a cute story since they have never made the tourney) was, and is, getting old.
