The Louisville women's soccer squad battled to a draw at Clemson yesterday.

After a two-overtime 110 minutes contest, the squads were tied at 1-1.

Clemson gained a 1-0 lead in the first half, but the Cards scored in the first minute of the second half to tie it on Ravin Alexander's goal.

The Cards go to 7-6-2 on the season and 3-5-1 in the ACC, which puts them in ninth place in the conference standings. With just Duke left in the regular season, Louisville has been eliminated from the six-team ACC WSOC Tournament.

Duke comes in Thursday with a 12-2-1 record and is 6-2-1 in conference, good for third place.

I know the record doesn’t reflect it, but, it felt like the team had a pretty good season. Being in the ACC gives no quarter concerning scheduling - just many very tough teams.

They are young and the youth got plenty of experience this year. The ACC was a bear this season, with the top ten teams going 98-21-10 overall and placing five teams in the top 25. I think there is talent on board that will definitely improve and that gives me a lot to look forward to.
