it's on CBS (or one of the major networks), coverage delayed by the UK-UL game coverage where the game ended on-------no someone might have it recorded for later viewing.

Miami scored on a long drive to tie it up, they had two fourth down conversions including the scoring play.

But the reason I came back, they just said Miami scored to even the score "in the midst of the rain and snow in the SUN BOWL".

Isn't there something wrong with that statement, LOL.

Leach was never a candidate for the UK job, he was never interviewed or offered the job. I get what you're saying but never is never and therefore it's a moot point.
Yeah, I know he wasn't but still....you get what I'm saying

He would've taken the job if offered though and that's almost a certainty, would've been awesome but we got what we got just gotta deal with it for at least another year or 2.. If we somehow magically get Kiel next year could be really awesome. That would be by far the most ideal scenario if we got gran and Kiel which would basically mean no learning curve for the offense since the QB already knows the offense. Could be a potentially job saving move by stoops. I also think barker will be a stud he just needs coaching and I don't believe Dawson and stoops could provide that we got rid of one problem now if he can get an OC that can coach up qbs then stoops could maybe turn it around. Big mountain to climb though with all the mistakes made this season. He has to get this OC hire right.

Real blizzard conditions it looks like, funny, don't think I saw any snow in almost two years in the Army there.

Miami down 20-14 completed a lot of passes in the blizzard to get to the five, but ended up fumbling it away. Then Leach showed that UK coaches aren't the only one that makes mistakes, after being held to the five for three downs punted on fourth, short punt returned to the 30 plus.

Should have took a safety, IMO, and would have given Miami a much longer road to a TD, field goal wouldn't have helped, but WSU escaped with an interception and ran out the clock, final 20-14 WSU.

Nice bowl victory over Miami and a nice season for Washington State. It's crazy that Washington State had this good of a season with a walkon QB. I didn't think it ever snowed in El Paso until I watched the "Sun Bowl" this year.

Re the WSU QB, seems he moved a bit his senior HS season and people lost track of him. It was mentioned he had FSU interest as a jr so he wasn't a typical walk-on.

Miami loses after making a stupid penalty so that a go ahead TD got called back and then they proceed to lose a fumble in the red zone. Miami had another shot to win, but the RB's pass got picked off on a bad throw.

Should've been called the Snow Bowl. LOL!!

I'm a Leach fan, so I'm glad that he got the win here. I'm not sure if he'll ever make Washington State a big contender in the PAC-12, but his team fights hard each and every game.

Funny wasn't it, watching the "Sun" Bowl in something of a snow storm. You know that was two decent 8-4 teams, but man to be sent down to one of the nation's armpits had to suck. If you've never been to El Paso here's some free advice. Don't! That was one lame call on that half back pass late, and deep in WSU territory. I'm sure it made Miami fans even happier about their new coach to be.

That lame call was a James Coley special.

The third of three straight 1st down trick plays. Coaches will do that after they've been canned, nobody to answer to.

Don't object to the call as much as the circumstances surrounding it. Asking a RB to throw a long pass in snowy, windy conditions may be a little much. If you're going to throw let the QB do it in those conditions.

I thought the same thing. It's difficult for a QB to throw the ball in such conditions. Asking a RB to throw it during a windy snow storm is just flirting with disaster. It's one of those calls that would be called gutsy if it worked, but the interception made the Miami coach look bad.

Signed, Mark Stoops and Shannon Dawson.
