you remember, the penniless cheerleader coach who ragged on me as an "eyeglass fitter" just like Mr. Unemployed Loser is doing now. Which got me to thinking about the posters on this board and what they do. We have a pretty diverse group. Here is my recollection:

WVUBru- finance guy
WVU Bud-accountant
Coop-accountant
dave-civil engineer
airport-dentist (another "not a real doctor" ;))
Mtneer-owns a construction company
COOLMAN-sales of some sort
Tarheel-IT guy
SnowSled-retired golf course super
mneilmont-retired cop and gigilo
Keyser-sales?
Fingon aka clay-entomologist
DoctorDoom-football coach
EERS 3:16-museum curator
That about all I recall. Correct me if I was wrong and chime in with what you do if I left you out.

Played Watcheshaw this past Friday. Greens were fair, decent layout. My back was a little tender and played the bues with a riend and shot 75.
I think I'm finished for the year. I evaluated 27 courses this year which is a lot. I've got a trip to Nova Scotia to go back to Cabot Links next year. I played it a couple years ago when it first opened but I want to see the new course-Cabot Cliffs. Links debuted on Golf Digest's top 100 in the world at #42. Cliffs is supposed to be better. here is an article about Cliffs by my Golf Digest boss. http://www.golfdigest.com/story/best-new-course-2015-cabot-cliffs

Also plan on playing Pine Valley, The Golf Club, Victoria National, Crooked Stick, and Camargo this year. Working on my itinerary.

We had the rock formations in WV that were supposed alien made, chemtrails which was a govt conspiracy of mind control, fluoride in the water,.....was he a moon landing was faked guy? Any others? What a nut. Oh, and a right winger who was convinced Obama was a muslim born in Kenya and was plant to allow muslims to control the US. Other than that, he was a rational, gay man who liked to help kids learn how to be cheerleaders. I'll never forget Bud's use of "ready? ok!" to begin one of his responses to cube. And remember the shirtless pic he posted of himself once?[roll]

Was up in Indiana a few weeks ago talking to a scratch golfer who knows his stuff. He claims Crooked Stick is the best Dye course in America. Found tht comment very interesting.

Yes, he was a fake moon landing guy and yes, bud was great with his replies to him. All the pics he posted was hilarious. The shirtless one and the one of him with his fellow cheerleaders with that goofy smile. What a lunatic

Retired from the retail grocery and food service industry dealing in the meat side of the business. Since you are the board golf "expert", you may have heard of one of the companies I did a lot of work for, ClubCorp.

Yes. I was a member of Club LeConte in Knoxville which was a Club Corp club. It's not a golf club but a social dinner club with privileges to play Club Corp golf clubs around the country. I ate there about twice a year and dropped it since I rarely used it.

They've asked me several times over the years to get into management. I've declined all. Pushing paper, corporate politics, and evaluating people is just not my crud. I'd rather code.

I have a very diverse background that makes me well suited to manage multi-discipline oriented teams. I have a lot better soft-skills than I often show on this board, so it isn't too difficult for me to navigate the corporate politics. I also do well in evaluating people and dealing with the sometimes difficult personalities. As a coder, you know what I'm talking about. I did coding for about 8 years (specifically simulations), but have also done hardware design and IT infrastructure design as well. The river is more wide than deep, so to speak. :)

I'm a team lead/architect. Still have to evaluate people and sell ideas, but the whole scratch my back I'll scratch your's thing, Eck. Let me stand on my own merits. Of course I've been fortune 500 employed for years upon years, it may be different in smaller shops.

I've been in nothing but smaller shops ... there isn't any "scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" so to speak, but there is getting cooperation and buy-in from other groups that may have competing interests. Sometimes that's difficult and sometimes it isn't. Just gotta get everybody to realize we all support the same mission.

I'm a litigator; 100% civil litigation for the past 10 years. I've been a member on this site for 10 years but just recently started posting more frequently. I find the differing views on here analogous to my practice. Like my practice, I also find it most interesting when posters here understand our differences and similarities, compromise without attacking character, and reach some level of collective understanding. The unrelenting, polarizing comments here seem to drive the discussions on this board; however, I feel that those comments do not promote actual change and social growth--they widen the chasm.

Welcome to the V's entertainment board. The widen chasm is reflective of our society at a whole. I think most of us determined years ago that nothing good will ever come from this location.

I think this board gives both sides of the aisle a chance to vent. Nothing wrong with that. But I do agree the country is extremely divided .
