WVU Athletic Communications Earns Awards
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (June 18, 2015) – The West Virginia University Athletic Communications Office was honored this week in Orlando, Florida, at the 2015 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Workshop, capturing four awards for Excellence in Publications. The four publications awards WVU received from CoSIDA rank as the third-most earned among Division I schools.
The 2014 WVU football guide cover was judged as the best cover in the nation in the football guide category, and the 2014-15 WVU women’s basketball guide captured second in the nation among women’s basketball guides for the second year in a row.
The 2014-15 WVU’s men’s basketball game program captured second in the nation in the basketball game programs category, and the WVU women’s basketball 2014-15 poster was judged second in the nation among basketball posters.
The 2014 football poster took silver honors in the schedule poster category of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) “Best Of” awards ceremony, also held this week in Orlando.
Additionally, Mike Montoro, Director of Football Communications, was honored with a 25-Year Award by CoSIDA.
