WVU is 7-seed

West Virginia is the 7-seed and faces 2-seed OK State in Wednesday's nightcap at Tulsa.

The Mountaineers (9-13) are seeded behind K-State (10-14) based on percentages. They were essentially tied, and WVU won the series, so those cancelled games in Stillwater came with a cost. K-state opens with Oklahoma.

To have tied KSU - WVU would have had to split to two washed out games with Okie State. Lose both and I think WVU is the 8 seed.

You're correct. Still, one could argue the tiebreaker should apply. It was an act of God, so to speak. WVU also could have won both -- theoretically.
