All the others did what they were supposed to do.
The Mountaineers preferred trash-talking and T's over winning the game.
T's gave Texas Tech 13 points. WVU lost by 8.
Smarter to keep your mouth shut and let your shooting, rebounding and defense do the talking. Let's hope that lesson sinks in.
I still LOVE this team and have high hopes for March Madness and even the Big 12 tournament. We'll see.

Nothing like an excuse maker to make a loss seem like a win. WVU shooting, rebounding and defense had no backbone against Tech. Matter of fact it never showed up.

You're right and I'm right. What a wonderful country! Now, let's get revenge on Kansas State at 2 p.m. Saturday in the WVU Coliseum on Jerry West Boulevarde. Just look for the Jerry West statue!

Got me! Fixed. Zeke from Cabin Creek has revitalized EVERY team that he got involved in the management of, mainly as a consultant. He told them what to do. They did it. And their team improved! Every time! The man has a magic touch, in putting the ball toward the hoop and in evaluating talent. He's the guy who made the trade for Kobe Bryant, by the way. Jerry is golden!

I know all of that. I'm old too, and used to listen to Jerry West play for the Lakers (on the transistor radio).

I used to WATCH Jerry play for East Bank High when I was on the Charleston Daily Mail sports staff of Dick Hudson, may he rest in peace. Dick lived to 101, I think, before passing away in North Carolina. One of the great gentlemen I've met in my life. Dick and Mickey Furfari, who exchanged phone calls with me every month till he passed away, were my mentors in my 42-year newspaper carerr.
