We are up 10 points.......with 12 minutes to go.........and haven't done anything against their 1-3-1 tonight. Whistle happy refs blowing it every time on the defensive end......and I wish I was as confident as you are
I’ve been watching college basketball for about 15 years now really closely, teams like Marist do not win games against teams with a pulse no matter how bad the better teams play. They are 0-3 vs nobodies for a reason, we will be cruising in the final minutes.
Our effort is not the problem. We have a pulse. Just aren't very good right now. This team put on a 1-3-1 and we acted like we were shocked......even with Marist coach being a Beilein disciple.
I saw that which gives me a sliver of hope that this is just a major anomaly
84-78........a win is a win......but this felt like a loss. A lot of work ahead........LOT of work.
Wanna see more before I give a more definitive judgment on what this team is and what it’s potential is. I am starting to feel that this team just flat out isn’t that good, basically a bubble team based on what I’ve seen to date, but I won’t totally write them off just yet based on this. Crap opponent on a big holiday in front of a high school crowd with a ridiculous 2nd half shooting percentage from an 0-3 team, I mean it’s a textbook letdown game. End of the day though, anything less than 3-0 in this tournament is a problem if we are eyeing any type of significant NCAA run.
Shooting 3's from half court and hitting 80 plus % it's hard to beat anyone. Plus Sags needs to stay out of foul trouble.
Remember this. All teams improve as the season progresses. Unless they lose key players to injuries, etc..................all teams improve with practice and game experience. So, don't wait on the rest of the teams to get worse while WV gets better. This years team is behind the eight ball. Warez
