Degen to start this. Got a popup to the catcher and then a looking K before giving up a 2 out double down the right field line. Then gives up another hit to give Xavier the first run of the game. Shultz takes a shallow fly to end the inning.

UK also picked up an error fielding the ball. It goes to Kessler trying to throw out the runner at home.
I have heard that Hazelwood may be in trouble for violating team rules and that's why we aren't seeing him tonight.

Schultz now up and he sees two early strikes, before grounding into a double play 6-3. Ming going to review. He will likely lose this... he usually does.
Call confirmed. UK leading 2-1. I like that we scored, but we got there with 1 hit and we failed to have a big inning and couldn't get any hits with RISP.

Hill grounds out to first. ARod quickly went down on strikes. Daniel draws a full count. That's the one positive so far, working the count... he gets a walk. Daniel tries to steal second. It's a pitch out and he is thrown out for the first time this season on his 12th attempt.
Not many other options. Schultz is playing instead of Lewis, who is hitting .190. You could maybe have Macciocchi or Curtis, but we don't have many middle infielders.

Will be interesting to see how long they let Cole Daniels pitch. Not sure he has pitched more than an inning or two.
Cole Daniels has been their designated early inning fireman this year. Seems to get the call whenever opponent gets guys on in the early innings.

Hill seems to try to bait the throw to second to try to allow Kessler to score, but they just corral him back to first.
