Right now if you look at Power 5 conferences and put together basketball and football Illinois and Rutgers are in a battle for last place.

You clearly haven't been to C-U in years. Downtown Champaign is awesome and the campus has changed a ton over the past five years.

I drive through and am amazed at the architecture investment into housing for students. There is money in that town.

The vehicles too - and per my kid, foreign money is mostly spent, followed by suburban dollars

I go there once a year for the state wrestling tournament.

Illinois basketball will be back in a big way very soon. Great freshmen class and two excellent players committed for next season. Kofi Cockburn is one of the best C in the country.

Hopefully but we will see. College basketball and especially the Illini have been hit hard by transfers. No guarantee anyone current players will be there next year.

My only memory of Champaign is watching Otis and The Elevators at Kam’s in 1987 on road trip up from ISU.
