100% lock Davis is a Springsteen fan. Prolly calls it 'roundball' instead of basketball too.
I think those who don't follow Molina on a daily basis can't appreciate his true value. I've done a lot of googling on this subject since this thread started. How do you quantify Numerically his pitch calling or his ability to calm unnerved pitchers? For Reds fans, Bench and Votto say he belongs, as do many fellow players. First ballot, who knows, but imo he does belong.

This is correct. Absolutely not first ballot, but he will get in and deservedly so.
The worst first ballot HOFer is probably Jeter, a Yankee icon with 3,000 hits and 5 rings. You gotta do special stuff to get in the first ballot. You could argue maybe Halladay as well, but he threw a perfect game and no hitter in the same season and won 2 Cy Youngs - I also think he doesn’t go in first ballot if he wasn’t dead at the time.
Yadi is a great catcher who affects the game in ways that Don’t show up In box scores, but that’s not the formula for getting in on the first ballot.

Trout bats 4 times a game. Yadi calls the games. Affects every single pitch being thrown as the game progresses. He calls out the defensive shifts according to how he is calling the game. He affects every single play, every single pitch from the starters to the bullpen rotation. and he does these things at an all time great level.
He became an extension of the manager, the pitching coach and the analytics team all rolled into one.

He had 3000 hits and won 5 rings.
I think he is overrated but he and Yadi aren’t in the same hemisphere.
