Stoops and company have done a great job at finding 2 star talent and then a few months go by, the player jumps to a 5.6 or 5.7 3 star, with some big Schools offering once we do. So I trust Stoops. Now we just got to hold on to the young man.

Better check your facts and see exactly who he had "firm" offers from. It's well known that all three backed off of him over the summer.

You may want to check your facts because that is 100% false.

This is a message I just got from a guy from 247 who covers all three teams:

His teammate, who is also a DB, camped with him at UK's Sunday camp and as of now doesn't have an offer. His teammate is a 3 star prospect.

As others said, there's a great chance he becomes a high three or four star guy. Good size if he fills out..... Great speed

He's not a low rated guy THIS early. A lot of fluidity in these ratings

I remember a certain 2 star corner that played here during the Brooks years that was pretty good. ;)

Congrats to the young man, but I like to see physical DB's not ankle tacklers. The highlight reel wasn't impressive to me but then again I'm not a coach

And history has also shown that highly rated players who come to here are busts and the lower ranks do better.

Morgan Newton 4 star - was a disaster. Trips on his own feet.
Patrick Towles - 4 star - bust
Ryan Mossakowski 4 star - bust
La'Rod King - 4 star - biggest bust in UK Football history. Was suppose to be a god. If I remember correctly.
Micah Johnson - 5 star - bust
DJ Stafford - 5 star - bust
Brandon Gainer - 4 star bust
Khalid Henderson 4 star bust
Zach West - 4 star bust
Glen Falkner - 4 star bust
Aaron Boyd - 4 star bust
and the list goes on and on.
Pretty sure La'Rod King wasn't a 4 star. And he was far from being the biggest bust in UK history. He actually had a productive career.

His senior season was a big disappointment.

It caused him to go undrafted and scouts were saying the year before he should've left.

What caused Micah Johnson to not get drafted was the fact he was playing out of position all throughout college. No way should he have been a Linebacker. He ran like a 4.9 40 yard dash predraft. He was a 6'1 260lb backer that had no business being a backer. he should have put on 30 or 40 pounds and moved to DT. the only reason he didn't move positions is because he made it clear when he signed that he only wanted to be a backer. I'm sure Brooks knew he should move but was a man of his word.

I vividly remember Johnson staying on the field his last year in obvious passing downs while a Sophmore Trevathan was taken out for the nickle package. Crazy.

micah has had some success in the pros(Canadian League last i heard)....at Defensive Tackle....

I like the fact that this kid is from West Palm Beach Dwyer. The school is a football factory and they play against top level south Florida athletes week in and week out.

He has a teammate, Kenih Lovely, that's a 3 star in 2018. He's a DB as well. I did an interview with Dort Jr and have 1 releasing tomorrow with Lovely. (Dort Jr is a 3 star on other services )

LaRod was far from a four star, a 5.5 three star, and I actually think he was one of a few in that class that exceeded expectations.

Micah may have been out of position but he was not a bust. He had a very productive career on some pretty good defenses

Fair enough and a legitimate comment. At least you based it on your own observation and what you see which is always valid and not just the fact you heard he is a 2 star.

I admit that I was concerned when I first watched that video too. But then I went to Dort's HUDL and found that the video that KSR and many other sites posted was Dort's spring scrimmage video. I think you will like his real game video a lot better (I did):
