Does that mean Davis is gone?
Was wondering the same thing. Between this and Dingle de-committing from the Canes and naming UK his leader, it kinda makes you think that Davis isn't coming to UK. Oh well....

Sounds for sure like no Davis

They aren't all going to or meant to be stars. They took him even with all the new interest in UK so they must feel he is a player

Nice size for a WR. Haven't had a chance to watch his film but those are some impressive stats. Nice looking pick-up for LT to coach

Signing day is where titles are won. Bama made a living on it for 8 years now. Fl St LSU Clemson Ohio St all get good/great talent at the end. Even middle level teams like Ole Miss/Miss St/UNC/Miami/Penn St/ UGA has had great recruiting runs the final 3-4 days before feb signing day.

If we are going to win these 8-9 games we talk about you have to get very good linemen, good skill players, or you'll have to try and coach up 15 players and hope they pan out.

I really really like him. He has the perfect size and great speed as well. He is going to be one we look back on and say that was a steal. He is a gem and the staff saw that and jumped on him once they saw him. So glad they did
Don't really see the great speed, but you don't necessarily need that to be a great we...What was his offer sheet?

We likely have room for 3-4 more in 2017. Whom do you wait to sign till after Feb 1 since you don't want anymore till then? Please list. Thanks. I take you wouldn't sign Wright next week, correct?

Fans only see ratings. The coaches scout and have there own criteria and board. Just because a recruit is a 4 star on rivals does not mean our coaches have graded them as such. We are taking another wr no matter what. Epps was a take regardless of Davis. Dingle is the back up plan to davis. Why his visit is in January.

Save the rest until the final week and make sure they are 4 stars.

No, it is always OK to sign some players like Cobb, two star when he committed I believe, (got a 5.5 three star after Thug U offered, and that might have been a CYA offer in case he turned out good), Lindell, 5.2, Dickie Lyons Jr, a 4.9, Trevathan, a 5.3, the list is long and impressive.

But yeah, you don't normally turn down any four stars if you can get them, most but not all are going to be very good.

I would rather have hands and toughness any day rather than speed--speed is nice but the other is better.

Welcome aboard Mr. Epps, really glad we got this young man. His video is very impressive, great size, great hands, good speed. He will get stronger and faster thru our strength and conditioning program, a hidden gem IMO.

From what I've seen he has very good hands on all sorts of throws whether they be short, above his head or perfectly thrown. If it is anywhere near him he seems to be able to haul it in. I also saw him put some good moves after the catch and did see acceleration when a defender started to close in on him. Of course, these are just highlights I've seen but that's all I can go on and he did look good in all areas, even showed he can block well down field for a teammate. I like what I saw from him and think he could become a very good one for us.

After watching Epps, on some highlight video. He looks underrated as a 3 star player to me.
Good size, feet and hands. Epps, ran good pass routs and showed break away speed after the catch! I was impressed! Looks like a 4 star recruit to me?

Great pickup for the Cats!!

I am biased and will own it. This player comes from one of the sharpest minds and best teaching offensive coaches around. He has taught me and thousand others a framework to guide decision making. If Dub vouches for him as being a star, I'm betting my house on him.

If you don't mind, to whom are you referring? Thanks.

My uncle is AD and head football coach at a private school in Nashville, he's had success there with at least 2 state championships. Anyways he saw we got this kid and called me last night. He just raved about the coaches and the program he is coming out of

Type of commitment that makes/breaks coaches.

5.5 rating, not many offers. I understand he did not play his junior year due to injury, was a back up his soph year. That will hurt you in the offer game.

Clearly, coaches are depending on their own eval and not recruiting services. That's why they get the big bucks. They have been very good evaluating it seems to me. Time will tell.

I say the kid in Fla is not a sure take, his visit date is week before signing date, you will know on Davis or will be close to knowing on him. Might not be a take by then, who knows, might be trying to save that scholly for last second OT locally or a big DT or OL. Who knows, I do not think unless the pecking order changes dramatically. Bowden, Munford, Whittaker, Davis I think are the one's they are going to hold out until bitter end.

Thought Whittaker was committed, no?
