JaVonte Richardson Commits! Per Josh Edwards
He seems like a great get. I have a question on him -
Does he look a step slow to anyone else, or
1) Does he just "appear" slower b/c he's so tall and his strides are longer than the DBs covering him? OR
2) Is he just faster than he looks on film?
The only film was his sophomore year, so his speed/accelaration likely improved during his JR season. Again, I'm not trying to knock the kid b/c there must be a reason he's rated so highly, but I was just wondering after watching his HUDL film.
I should add the disclaimer that I neither played nor coach, so I am TERRIBLE at evaluating most things on film, but speed/burst is one thing that usually jumps out on film.
Runs a 4.52 I've seen and is the second best player on the state of Ohio. He's legit
This is a Marrow recruit. It looks like this new staff can recruit.
Two more very close according to Justin Rowland on twitter.
I generally agree. We now have Yeast and Richardson as two WR commits for the 2017 class. Given the numbers for the 2017 signing class and the state of the roster, I would say this should wrap up our 2017 WR recruiting unless another absolute stud player wants to get on board.Great news but really only care about Dlineman... Every thing else is something every one else can get
Good points. You gotta make every scholly count, even more so when you know you're going to be constrained by the numbers to a small signing class. If we get Danny davis or the kid out of Florida I think we take 1 more wr. Yeast might play dB in college too. 17 Schollies mean no interior ol and a small lber and dB class too.
Or Therrell Gosier. He is still high on UK and is in Juco right now. I mean 4.4 and 6'6 you dont see that.If we get Danny davis or the kid out of Florida I think we take 1 more wr. Yeast might play dB in college too. 17 Schollies mean no interior ol and a small lber and dB class too.

This is great, but the class hinges totally on getting 2-3 quality DT/NT types. Got to stop the run foremost, now, then & forever.

We get a commitment from the # 2 player in Ohio with offers from multiple football powers including Michigan and our fans aren't impressed? Good grief. What would it take?
I try to keep my eyes on the prize.I would say "this is great!" Period.
No butts needed.

More power to you if you think a 4* just about anything contributes as much to success as a 4* DT.Yeah, you're that guy. LOL

Do you mean 2-3 in addition to Bohanna and Hudson? I agree they need to have at least one NT prospect each year, but Bohanna and Hudson project to the other 2 DL positions, right? Bohanna to DT, Hudson to DE, right?
Wonder if the coaches may continue to look at the JUCO route for true NT types, especially if they have 3 yrs of eligibility left?
They recently just offered the DL kid from Cory Johnson's JUCO in NY, right?
