Does Richardson rank as one of the highest rated players to verbally commit to UK under Stoops?

If so, we should probably begin a discussion here about the value of a good kicker.

Second ranking wise after a Landon Young AFAIK. Will be third if/when Wills commits.

Myron Pryor was a 2 star whose only other power 5 offer was Indiana. Troll would've crushed Rich Brooks for accepting his commitment if he were posting back then

Not even close to the same situation. One, Rivals rankings were different then. He would have been a 5.5/5.6 3* now. Two, Brooks and company were a million times better developing talent than Stoops and company have shown.

Like jauk pointed out he was a 5.2 not a 5.4 so no he would not have jumped all the way to a 5.5 or a 5.6. Pryor was a 6th round pick and Peters was a 3rd round pick. Under stoops we've already had a 1st round pick and a 3rd round pick on the Dline in his first two seasons. That's a problem when trying to explain the development angle that you took and don't even try to act like Bud was ever close to being considered a 1st round pick while playing for Joker. The rest of the guys under Stoops haven't had time to fully mature and take on a featured role in the defense so you have no idea if they'll be busts or develop beyond their ranking

And Avery Williamson was, what, a 5th round pick? Stamps and Forrest have a chance next month along with Huguenin and Lewis.

Brooks was ready to be run out of town at his same point as Stoops. We where coming off a 4 win season I believe. Developing dlineman takes time. If Meant Elam and Miggins are awful this year then you may have a point. I don't think those 3 will be awful by any stretch to be honest.

People keep trying to compare our DL to Pryor and Peters at the early part or mid-point of their career under Stoops. That is futile except for Pryor and Peters setting the standard to which you can compare complete careers. Also as I and RR30 have stated above, Rivals has increased the number of players they give stars to making the comparison even more vague.

People seem to think Kentucky is a football factory developing NFL players by mentioning names but the true fact is we have seldom had a SEC quality DL just like we have seldom had highly regarded recruits to assemble those DL's. Maybe there is a clue in that fact.
