Less chance of Boone and Gardner getting ejected if the game is shorter. I’m sure the city of Baltimore would be on board.

They're getting paid millions to play a game...they can suck it up and deal with the embarrassment of getting they're butt kicked. The fans are paying for 9 innings of baseball, give it to them.

That is, well rather shocking. Sadly this years WS will probably be between the two teams I hate the most in baseball, the Yankees and Dodgers. Fortunately it will be football season and I will ignore the whole thing.

Astros will be a tough out in the AL but agree that LA will be very hard to beat in NL

Yes the Astros are just a few games behind the Yankees so they could get by them, but the Dodgers just seem a level above the rest. You never know though, baseball can be a funny game in a short series.

Verlander and Grenke and Cole
Very small chance (in my mind) the Yankees advance.
Their starting pitching is crap by comparison.

Wouldn’t shock me one bit if this is discussed between the players association and MLB.

If I'm a manager on getaway day and I'm losing 7-0 in the bottom of the 7th there would be 6 straight intentional walks coming.

We don't need a mercy rule in MLB. Grown men playing a game need to just deal with winning and losing. So, you're getting the smack down beat on you? Play better or obtain better players and move on. Let's not fall into some overly sensitive, little league mentality.

Don't rule out the Braves this year for the NL. They just took 2 out of 3 from the Dodgers this past weekend.

Didn't read the article, so not sure about the justifications.. but something like this might shorten the games. Baseball needs to do something..
