Blasting a war hero in McCain. Making jokes of his capture. Seriously? Trump is sickening and the fact that he is even getting a smidgen of people to listen to him and think he should be president makes me wonder why some people are even allowed to vote in the first place. I'm a Democrat, but I respect John McCain and would have probably voted for him if he had chosen anyone other than Palin.

If Trump were to become President, we would have another war very soon.

It was just a few years ago most Democrats were doing the very same thing to McCain. I'm sure you remember? Funny thing is, the media and all the late night jokesters all got the jollyies off talking about it.

Some left wingers were making light of McCain being last in his class at Annapolis. I found that to be disgusting and stated so several times on this board. Some complete idiots and they were few and far between on the left would dare say the things Trump said about McCain's military service. I know of no one on this board made those type of comments about his military history. So your comment about "most" is an extreme lie. You should change it to "a few" if you cared about being honest

That is an accurate statement. Even I questioned what he had done to become worthy of the presidency. He was simply more qualified than the other man.

I'd say you're full of ****. I don't know anyone or ever heard anyone anywhere ridicule McCain's service. Certainly no one in national politics. On the contrary. Admittedly, I post some things here just to rile some people up sometimes but even I'd never post something like that. And this board is relatively anonymous. Too much respect for McCain. But to say this publically knowing that it is going to be broadcast all over demonstrates what a sick person Trump is. And he's in the lead? The GOP sucks.

I suspect this is going to be the normal lead from the prejudiced media thru Nov next year. This story has gotten great play and then the attempt to back step is now getting great coverage.

We have seen nothing that leads into the Trump comments. Are we to believe that Trump, OUT OF THE CLEAR BLUE SKY, began to criticize McCain for no obvious reason? People, you should, at least, cover this without being so obvious. Is it fair to assume that something prompted McCain's name to come up? Or, do you honestly believe Trump was just looking for a time to be critical of McCain?

You have got to realize that Trump is going to respond to criticism that he feels is unfounded. He may be harsher than necessary in his response, but he is going to respond. I do believe the press will load most of their questions to get Trump to respond. It will be difficult for Trump to respond in a way that will not get broad coverage to any errors they can project. It will be up to his perspective supporters to analyze questions and answers because Trump is not accustomed to giving political responses.

McCain had went publicly and said that Trump had stirred up the "crazies" with his immigration talk. During a public outing, Trump was asked about those comments. He said "McCain's a war hero because he got captured. I like people who weren't captured."

Taken out of context? Bad attempt at humor? I don't think so. Trump is an *******. Simple as that. Trump quickly tried to explain his comments but DID NOT apologize. He then took to social media to say that "all our soldiers are heros".

There are equally the same number of crazies on both the liberal and conservative side. While the crazy liberals may have been attacking McCain, the same crazy conservatives were attacking Obama's birth certificate and "love" for his country (do you remember the "Obama doesn't love America" speeches; and the over emphasizing of his middle name "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" ???)

pretty sure the next poll will be very different. It's one thing to take aim at hispanics. But when you start belittling the bravory of our POW's, you can stick a fork in him because he's done.

McCain(R) had a critical statement to say about the Repub candidate who is leading his party's bid for president. When asked the leading question by the press, Trump responded in a defensive position. Why do you see Trump as the ******* and don't say anything about McCain?

And Trump dodged Vietnam with "bone spurs" in his foot, yet couldn't answer which foot it was when asked. HA.

Trump was responding to a question by a reporter asking about a McCain comment.
..By saying...

"He is not a war hero"

"He is a war hero," Luntz interjected.

"He is a war hero because he was captured," Trump said, cutting him off. "I like people that weren't captured, OK?"

His campaign is now fully engulfed in flames. Time to move on....

So, you are saying that excuses him saying McCain isn't a war hero? You were one of the biggest supporters of McCain in 2008. Now you aren't? You are defending Trump? Wow. Kind of sad.

This has nothing to do with party loyalty. I'm a Democrat. I really like John McCain. I really respect him. The words Trump used is disgraceful for any party member.

Hillary didn't even apologize for her words after the death of the four . Trump has attempted to apologize for the structure of his wording. His problem was not with McCain's military record, but his political record. It is fodder for the political trail and the Dems are going to repeat it daily. Meanwhile, they will never address the words or actions of Hillary.

Now who is "digging in" to their political ties? I don't care about Hillary. I never said I liked her. She wasn't the issue. The issue was the words that Trump said publicly and the fact that he has NOT apologized (not sure where you are getting that he's tried to apologize, he's stated several times that he will NOT). If Trump was going after McCain politically, then why bring up his military background? Attack his voting record, right?

This very encounter demonstrates two things about him.
1. He is a narcissistic pig
2. He lacks the social skills to be president.

What words did Trump say for which he should apologize. Listen to the tape with Frank. The thing he would not apologize to McCain for was the words he said in response to rally of Trump. Neither would he apologize for his legislative record. I think he did say he appreciated the military and that included the ones who were not captured.

Trump made a distinction between those who were in captivity and those who were not. He further made a difference between McCain capture and that of Berghdal whom he had no respect for.

I think I commented that you were the bragadocious narcissistic ********** that was daily bragging of your wealth and travel while you were putting down some of those who were a little less fortunate than you - in particular those WVians who make up the working class. Do you really have to steal my thoughts and words to make a comment?

And you lie when you attribute 'what a great guy' he is to me. I only know what I see of him. But the "make a great President" comment would be accurate. And, don't want Bru to get confused because I bring up Hillary and Obama in the thread, I certainly think he has much more to offer as President than Hillary or Obama. Moron? You remember you were the stupid Son-o-a-***** who voted for Obama and then showed you were totally void by repeating that mistake. Gotta be the wannabe status and you voted for black.

Trump "all our soldiers are heroes". That really sounds like an apology to all military(including the military McCain). I doubt seriously that he will apologize to McCain for comment about his legislative work.

Come on. He made that comment out of pressure. And if you read his comments initially, he said "what makes McCain a hero, the fact he got captured?" and then said "I like the ones who were not captured". But, yeah.....keep digging in.

And you realize that by labeling every attack by a Muslim against the United States, even though there may not be any ties to radicalism, would be the same as saying every white vs. black (or visa versa) crime is a hate crime. No difference. It's best to see if this was a single attack by a crazy individual that happened to be Muslim or a Muslim who was radicalized by an Islamic terror group. Get the evidence FIRST before declaring anything.

And you are proving my point. Obama never comes out and says anything about it being a radical Muslim, even after it has proven so. However, he does jump to the conclusion on race issues.

Why are you asking me if I lost my "f'in" mind when liberals are the ones defending the radicals Muslim attacks on us and targeting Christians NOT because they are murdering people but because they simply believe that marriage is between one man and one woman. please tell me that??
