My thoughts too, but I've been saying that since Season 1. It's the opposite of Deadwood, except for the cussing, which is pretty much the same in both. Deadwood was a great show, great story, great characters, but the scenery was a continuous muddy mess. Just the beauty of the scenery in Yellowstone is a big reason why I stay interested. I like the extended rodeo, and cowboy stuff, and they work in emerging musicians too. The story and characters are mostly a train wreck though.

Agree. This season, so far, and last have not been as good. Maybe Sheridan is spread too thin with all his other projects.
Loved Deadwood, but yeah, it's like it was filmed in a giant hog pen.
Well this is off subject but why does that bother you? Native Americans were murderous rapists just like the people that conquered them. They did the same thing to each other in wars. Everything in entertainment is a caricature for the most part. It's just entertainment, relax, just like this board. And I'm not stereotyping, I'm providing facts. I've read and studied pretty decently about US History and the battles between Indian Tribes amongst themselves and American settlers.
Believe me, I could care less. You stereotype but say don’t stereotype much like the majority of the world right now. Just cause you took history in college and had a history teacher feed you a bunch of **** doesn’t make it accurate. I took Native American history and learned not just facts like they didn’t rape and pillage, but why they didn’t. Their beliefs didn’t allow for rape even in war. So keep telling yourself what you want to believe but it isn’t accurate. Regardless, good show. Fun to watch. Will keep watching it. Done.

Seems the show has went woke and decided to make it about women and their feelings. Goid grief.
Might be my age showing but there is a lot more cussing in it this season- particularly from the women. Maybe for shock value?
I’m not a prude and cuss some but try not to around women and the women in my life don’t.
Could swear I heard Beth use the MF in a casual conversation with her husband. Also all of them cussing with kids(teens) at one dinner table scene kinda got to me.
This season is going down hill fast. Thought for sure we would have a better season this time. If this is what we are watching I'd rather they start it Father's Day weekend like it was so we have something on to get us to football season. The show is good but not much happening.

Beth is a scene and show killer. Nothing she does adds value. Show would be much better without her.
Would you not expect cowboys to basically cuss nonstop? I would think that would be assumed. Just like mafiaso in the Sopranos or urban gangsters in The Wire or a bunch of settlers and gold prospectors in Deadwood.

All I can figure is they're trying to widen their audience by focusing on women. It's really killing the show though imo.
Every episode Beth isn't killed off the show is another episode of suck for this show. They have managed to take all of the edge out of the show and we're left with estrogen and fat vegan chicks whining about cattle branding.
I think they are trying to eliminate the "toxic masculinity" of a cowboy show by having all of these strong dominant women. If they take it much further Beth will strap a 12 inch one on and make ole Rip earn his name while calling him a mf'er.
I miss the days where they dumped bodies in Wyoming. This series has become a boring soap opera.
Can't think of a single thing this season that would make the story better. Mostly just watching for the scenery and I can google that.
Very disappointing so far. Rip and Kayce are just in the background. No bunkhouse issues. Just everybody talking about their feelings.
