Friend of mine who played a bit at Wabash saw Ciarvino a few weeks back and says he’s the real deal: can handle the ball and quite athletic.

Ciaravino is the mid-size wing that Cats have had success with, ala Baren, Barnhizer, Martinelli. Tough players that can shoot, handle the ball and rebound. Seems to fit the scheme.

Who is this guy Baren? NU had a 6'9" guy who was soft in pretty much all phases of the game, but did have a good shooting stroke when left open. He wasn't a wing and he couldn't pass or score in the paint...

Barnhizer and Beran are dramatically different basketball players. If Ciavarino is like Barnhizer that would be great.

Feels like a more athletic Barnhizer to me.

Just saw Angelo play in Pekin. Very good player. Shoots the three. Handles it. Had an alley-oop dunk. Good get for NU.
