I don’t know what is happening, but you won‘t convince me that there’s not an issue in the locker room. No clue what that is or who it involves, but this team simply doesn’t seem like they want to play for each other out on the court.
I wonder if we see anyone transfer out at the break. Seriously doubt it since they have I would guess received the majority of of their NIL. No clue how that payment process works
I'd genuinely be shocked if there isn't a kid or kids who don't return after the break.
That’s about the best quick breakdown I’ve seen of the travesty that was Friday night’s game.
Although I might disagree with the thread title, in the sense that those are things that CAN be fixed. It ain’t like he’s showing flaws in our raw talent, instead he’s showing how embarrassingly lazy and stupid we were.
That suggests that this season may still be salvageable with an attitude adjustment and coaching crackdown on the unacceptable stuff. I’m just not sure yet if this team has the heart to make those changes.
It's on Pope, I like him but this is his job to manage egos and put people in the right position.
Just sucks we hired a guy that is so likeable and we have to turn on him because we love UK basketball.
If we support him we could have another 2 or 3 years of it and I just can't do it.

Entitled and “me”, if I don’t get the shot or the call then I’m not hustling or giving max effort. It’s more alarming to see in person, I was there Friday night then went to the Tenn/Illinois game and know both of those teams would beat us as bad the zags did.
We have no leadership and that starts with the coach, pope looks clueless on the sideline and the assistants seem to be worse than cals. They do nothing but sit there collecting a check…….just like our players.

I think his likeability becomes a liability at times. He always tries so hard to be a nice guy when sometimes coaches need to be a hardass.
Right now this team doesn’t need a coach who will be their friend patting them on the back. Instead, it needs an authoritarian who will kick their asses into gear.
That’s why I can’t get over the Gonzaga game. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. They literally threw the game.
Hog fan here: I've always had a mutual respect for Kentucky and i'm not here to throw stones. Kentucky's struggles to me seem to be a lack of effort and poor discipline. Too many missed assignments on defense and in transition.
Is Pope the guy? Only time will tell, but effort has to improve this season for them to make a run.
