My wife (who doesn't really pay that close attention to what's going on with the football team) looks up from reading the paper this morning and says, "Geez...we've lost 8 games this year. That's not good."
Once upon a time I was jacked on Saturdays in the fall. I'm now cool and calm like it's just another day.We were traveling home down I 70 and after the kickoff was returned for a TD we both just shook our heads like we are past being disgusted, it's expected.
I put our games on but often turn the volume off and work on other stuff. They are emotionally exhausting and painful to follow closely.Whats worse is how most people are so apathetic they don't really follow the team any more. Dark days are ahead.
It may not feel like it in Lincoln yet, but those of us that live outside the state can already see it (Husker bars). There were a lot of empty seats at Camp Randall yesterday. I know it was cold, but in years past Huskers would’ve filled those seats. Let’s hope for a turnaround next year.Whats worse is how most people are so apathetic they don't really follow the team any more. Dark days are ahead.
