Nah, just kidding. Congrats on a great win.

You guys just gave Louisville fan their absolute worst nightmare. We pretty much blew everything today. Our home streak. The series streak. The overall series lead. The Orange Bowl. The Heisman. Any short-term superiority enjoyed in the rivalry. After years of building, pretty much back to the crapper in only 9 days. The stadium was quieter than its been all season. Folks sitting there....waiting to lose this one. Like a morgue. Can't imagine how nice it must have felt for Cat fans that were there. Johnson played great.

Enjoy it while you can. As you know, it will leave you in a flash. But until then, celebrate.

ajg, you make some solid points in your post. This game had to leave a really bad taste in the mouths of Louisville fans. I have to wonder what affect, if any it will have on the number of UL fans that will travel to a bowl game now...

Good luck in your bowl game. I still think Lamar should get the heisman trophy.

You could teach Zipp and Rhodes a lesson in humility, they're both calling for the series in football
and basketball to be discontinued. [laughing]

Thanks for the respectful post. Lamar Jackson is the best player in College Football. UK FINALLY got the breaks in this game. We had to execute on offense and win the turnover battle on defense to have a shot. Luckily we did both and barely won.

I hope Jackson petitions the NFL to challenge the 3 year minimum rule and goes to the Draft.:D

I still think Jackson wins the heisman. No other player in the country deserves it more.

Many of them are quitting on their team, if their message boards are any indication. They are salty right now as reality is setting in.

Pepper, Barrett and Watson disagree. They are taking their teams forward, and Jackson is going in reverse. If UL wins today, yea, but the other 3 have control of their situation now, Jackson blew it
Peppers is the most overrated player in the country. Its a joke that hes even in the running for the heisman.

Aj,
You and I got way back on these boards. I'm not near as active as I used to be. But, when I read your subject I was quickly taken back about 11 or so years. You said "Lucky dogs". I assume this is because of "the fumble". If you recall back in ...?? Idk 2005 or 2006 UK was driving for lead late in the 4th and Woodson fumbled deep in UL territory.

This was payback for that one.

That's exactly what popped in my mind. UK was a heavy dog in that game also. We left the stadium thinking UofL got Lucky.

That was probably 06 since Woodson only had two very good seasons here. And since we loaned them a win that long ago we should have gotten this win with interest for all those years, so they owe us a win next year also. Also another OOC win that year would have made for a great season, added to our extremely rare break even season in the SEC.

It was 2005. In 2006, UofL beat us by 30+ at the Pizza Pit.

It was definitely 2005. It was Woodson's first year as a starter. He showed tremendous ability but made some rookie mistakes. This was one of many. The next spring he actually lost the starting job to Pulley before Curtis "blew it". Andre still to this day will send my son a facebook message. For some reason those two really hit it off at fan day. Andre later called him "His #1 fan".

I agree with you sluggercatfan, we had them on the ropes in both games and didn't finish. According the the experts in recruiting we have out recruited them the last 4 years and that had to pay off sooner or later.

A lot of their recruiting doesn't show up in the recruiting classes, and some of their commits are under rated because of academics-----and other problems.

That's right the Georgia and TCU connections are gone after this year, they are going to have to hit non conformant lists of rejects from other teams hard to come close to the talent they had from second chance players.
