It was pretty good. You never quite know if you're rooting for the guy or not. He's like a anti-hero with some serious girl issues.

I thought the dialogue and main character voice-overs were great. Witty and quick. Main actor was pretty solid. And they did a great job capturing New York City from the eyes of a 20-something year old.

Your title made me think of this from the movie The Intern.

Girlfriend and I liked it. The internal monologue had a bit of a Dexter feel to it.

I'm interested in season 2, but also wonder where this can really even go beyond where it is now.

My wife watched it too and says it is really good. She told me I should watch but it sounds like Dexter meets Fifty Shades from her description.

My wife and I are watching it. 2 episodes left.

The voiceovers reminded me of Dexter, too.

It is very similar to Dexter with a lot less murdering.

I enjoyed it. Some episodes were really good. I thought the dialogue could be a little corny at times, but it's worth a watch.

Yeah, not really sure how/why they will have season 2.

Apparently the story is based on a series of novels. The second in the set, Hidden Bodies, is set in Los Angeles. So I guess they're playing out the novel's story arc.

I don't know if it'll be new characters or a standalone season or what the plan is, but I can't imagine there's much left to do with the same general premise of Joe being who he is.

Slightly spoilerish:

I read both books about 2 years ago. First season closely mirrored the book, which is told completely in the first person from Joe’s POV like the show was. The second book is a continuation of the same character (Joe) in a new setting with mostly new characters, but the old plot lines don’t disappear. It’s entertaining, and I enjoyed it, but it’s not very believable. In fact it’s much less believable than the first book.
