Everything he says is true. Resettle them over there. Create safe zones over there. Destroy ISIS. Obama is chicken **** when it comes to naming our enemy. Says we shouldn't send in troops. You should be happy with that. It is muslim's who are committed to our destruction. The sooner we face the truth, the sooner we can identify the problem and defeat it.

Let me break this down for the slower posters on the board before they misconstrue what it is you are saying.

All Muslim Terrorists are Muslim. Not all Muslims are terrorists.

Of all the candidates on either side, he is number 1 on who cannot be elected. Hell, our country is so much worse off that the idiots in Texas voted him into the Senate.

The logistics of creating "safe zones" alone is impossible. Fantasyland. And have them take a test? Yeah Abdul J. Terroristo will obviously trip up on that one.

For a while I didn't have a problem with him. I have changed my mind.

He is a modern day Harry Truman. If you don't want to hear where he stands, turn your set off. Willing to be very hawkish. Not sure he has a daughter who plays the piano and is very thin skinned. And there is not another Bess.

The dumbasses on the right think "Muslim" is some international identity. Like there is no difference between Shia and Sunni and that they are friends. The world is a small scary place for people who would ever consider Ted Cruz for president. He reminds me of Grandpa on the Munsters.

"We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here does in good faith become an American and assimilates himself to us he shall be treated on an exact equality with every one else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birth-place or origin.

But this is predicated upon the man’s becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American. If he tries to keep segregated with men of his own origin and separated from the rest of America, then he isn’t doing his part as an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. . . We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people."

Cruz is my selected choice right now. That's quite a diatribe on what you think I think. It's not even close. Although Syria was a moderate melting pot when it was under the dictatorship, where Sunni, Shia, Christians, and secularists were able to get along... because they had to. Since Arab Spring the radicals have stirred everyone up and murdered the Christians.

Since we know they have the ability to falsify passports and we have no method of verifying said passports without some kind of data from the home country, riddle me oh wise one's on the left, how are we going to tell the terrorists from the terrorized? Is the government's first duty to his citizens, or another country's citizens?

If we can't check passports, how does a religious test work? If ew don't trust them to have legitimate paperwork, we are just going to take their word for it? And safe zones are going to be placed where? That's like saying we need more power plants - everyone is for it, but no one wants it in their neighborhood.

Forget the safe zones. All of those questions you just asked above are valid for our citizens right now. But the government says everything will be fine. Who are they supposed to be protecting again?

What are the major differences between Shia and Sunni?

There are degrees of hate, and a person unfamiliar with the eastern mindset will have trouble understanding the differences between Shia and Sunni.
Which is why politicians should never blindly lump them together like when they say to ban all Muslims.

I don't think that's what Cruz said. However, neither al-Qaeda (Sunni) nor Hezbollah (Shia) define themselves as sectarian in nature. The are anti-colonialist...anti-western. Hezbollah, in fact, enjoys widespread appreciation by Sunnis.

What are the major differences between Shia and Sunni?

One of the most contrasting differences is their organization. Shia is organized top down, like Catholicism. Sunni is disorganized, similar to most protestant groups that aren't Catholic leaning. That's how you end up with Mullah's with radical Quran-based teaching, and most of your terrorist groups, are Sunni. Sects of Shia are hellbent (pun intentional) on bringing on Armageddon and the 12th Imam.

Hezbollah is the exceptional exception for Shia. They are widely supported by all Muslims for their anti-Isreal work.
