The Griffins of Father McGivney Catholic High School.

The school opened in 2012 and has yet to graduate a senior class.

Time for the IHSA to clamp down on these mackerel snappers!

And when the whiners try to justify their fuzzy logic, you can be sure that this most recent private school title will be included in whatever data they manipulate to claim the existence of an alleged private school advantage.

Was Fish weight divided by 1.65 lbs
No, but he was a one man team (as opposed to the normal two person team from other schools), so Fr. McGivney Catholic was already competing with the bass fishing equivalent of one arm tied behind its back. His one man total weight for the weekend surpassed the next heaviest combined weight of a two person team.

Fitting, eh?

He just has a God given fishing talent that heathens in public schools don't have...

Yes, but... is this title for small mouth or large mouth? You catlicks can have the small mouth title, as we all know the powerhouse publics concentrate on the "large" mouth, which is far more competitive.

Before there is any more smack talking... let's just wait to see who wins the Bluegill, Catfish, and Walleye title. We just brought up two sophomores and a freshman.

I heard he dangled Mr. Happy over board and used him as a lure. Unfair advantage? This team will have "large" shoes to fill when he graduates.

Still waiting for my offer to coach the Nazareth Bass Team, featuring our boat, the Salt Creek Skiff

It doesn't rival St. Joe's vessel though, the HMS Pingatore
