I can't put together a whole roster, but my favorites growing up:

SS Cal Ripken Jr.

My favorite player growing up. Wore #8 throughout my ball career. I believe I even mimicked changing my batting stances up a lot like he did because he seemed like he would change up his stance about every couple of months. How could you not love how this dude played the game?

2B Roberto Alomar

What a smooth player. I just wanted to be as cool as he was playing the game. Such a confident hitter, was amazing in the field, was must-watch for me.

P Mike Mussina

Can you tell I was a big Orioles fan growing? Just loved his demeanor on the mound. The quiet assassin.

Though most of you guys are not Card fans, I just read a Stan Musial article I found very interesting and thought some of you might enjoy knowing. Over a 10 year period during Stan's prime, over the 154 game seasons, the Cards faced an average of 71 left handed starting pitchers per year. The league average was 49. A lot of times things like this are not considered when looking at an individual's stats.
