I think mine is that there are only THREE seniors on D expected to start
That shows me that recruiting has provided better players and that they have a chance to REALLY GET BETTER over the upcoming season and the next couple of years.

By my count only 5 seniors in the 2 deep on D. Means 17 out of top 22 return after this season.

Also, only 3 (4 if you count seldom used FB) of offense.

That will give us 35 out of top 44 returning in 2017. Hmmmm.

Biggest surprise to me is Pringle's disappearing act at NT. He's buried behind a seldom used guy recovering from knee surgery and an even less seldom used 4th year junior. Very disappointing.

I agree about Pringle. I really thought he would come in and start right away. If he is 3rd string then others have really improved or we may have an issue.

I am going to go positive and say others have really stepped up.

What makes King so effective IMO is that he is one of those backs that is hard to get a clean hit on.

Very shifty.

I wouldn't give up on that yet. Looked to me like all of the newcomers (including spring enrollees) were placed at the bottom of their respective positions on the depth chart.

There will certainly be movement.

You could be right re depth chart placement, make them earn their keep so to speak. But if this staff felt Dubose and Hyde, and I don't mean to be knocking those guys, were up to it they wouldn't have signed Pringle to begin with. UK needs somebody, anybody, to step it up behind Elam.

Cazwheel sees the truth, all those guys are third or fourth string because of their year placement. Depth chart will change dramatically before the first game

Therein lies the rub. Going into the end of last season and leading up to signing day in December, only Carnac would know if Dubose would recover fully from surgery and that Jacob would 'get it'. Therefore, the staff couldn't possibly gamble on that and then end up with Elam and ??? You guys would be screaming for their scalps.

Mosier is going to start the dude is huge and a better athlete than given credit for. Mosier held up pretty darn well playing tackle the first time last year against top 50 draft picks. To be honest we really do not know how much the offense made the oline look bad with so many vertical routes and 3rd and 8s
Shhhhh.
