Florida isn’t going to be a 4.5 point favorite in rupp
This would mean that Kentucky is a double-digit underdog on the road in Gainesville as a Top 10 team. Zero chance Florida is favored by 4.5 points in Lexington against a Top-10 Kentucky team. Doubt they will be favored at all.
My guess is UK -2.5 and it quickly drops to -1.5
Yes, they will. The OSU game exposed us pretty badly. And we still won't have Kerr back.
UF will be the favorite and by at least -3.5. And they will cover that quite easily because I simply don't see this team turning it around in 5 days after really not showing much of an improvement in key areas 10 days after a royal *** kicking.

I remember what happen to a #1 Florida team a few years back at Rupp.
We should be favored slightly at home. UF has better record but we beat 2 teams better than anyone they have played so far.

Think this game will be exactly like last years game in rupp. It will come down to who can 1-2 stops late.

Plus listing it with Florida favored invites gamblers to load up on Kentucky, which I don’t think Vegas wants, given the reality that models like mine consider UK the favorite.

I would say Ky 2.5-3.5 range would be my guess. I would be floored if Vegas has Florida favored at Ky. I would not be shocked to see Ky favored by 4-6, but anything more than that would be surprising.
A few years back has as much meaning to this game as the Oregon/OSU football game today does. Ball games are a lot like the stock market. "Past performance has NO bearing on future results." What we are doing is stating our hopes and wishes. If we are a 2 point favorite or a 4.5 point dog, it has no bearing on game results. Bookies can set spreads at any number that they think will get bettors and move the spread to get a balance of bets on both sides. The bookies make money on both sides. Please don't get upset on the spread, it is meaningless except for gamblers. Are we really a top 10 team? NO ONE will know for another month into the season. I will assure you, TN, FL, AL,and DUKE are NOT a number one team in the country. Auburn may be. Everything now is based on cupcake pre conference schedule for every team. Only gamblers should care about the betting line. Remember the teams don't change once the line is announced but the line changes to get bets.
Line can certainly affect the outcome if the refs, or even some of the players are less than honest.

I really am interested to see how Martin, Richard, and Clayton Jr. stack up against Oweh, Butler, and Robinson. Should be a great matchup and game for both teams. Gators really are good.
