All my HS friends that could not get into Illinois went to Iowa. If they wanted to stay "in the area"
I'm also honest that 8 wins is better than 7 and 9 is better than 8. 6-3 in the BIG is better 4-5. I also know 100 teams are trying to win, and sometimes it takes a few bounces to get to the top. I feel not satisfied, but I like the fact our men compete, and never get rolled, always in it with a chance.
And you are also honest that not making the playoffs means you had a loser season unless you have zero expectations, which I am guessing you don't have zero expectations, right?

I am not “happy” with Iowa going 8-4. Never have been. Never will be. It’s playoff or bust. We went toe to toe with 2 playoff teams (Indiana and Oregon) and probably should’ve won both which shows progress. So not happy but encouraged where the program is. We absolutely destroyed Minny, Wisco and Nebby.
Again, thank you for being honest. You also agree your season sucked. Playoffs or Bust.

Nebraska has been out of the playoff hunt for many many years, I still see that sellout streak is still alive and people supporting your team. Let's not try to justify getting your *** spanked yesterday when you all wanted to win very badly.

I do not want KF gone. Like I said, I’m encouraged where the program is heading (i.e., playoffs). Our offense is getting better every year under our new OC and we have one of, if not the best, DC’s in the country; also one one of the best Special teams coordinators. Why would I want to throw all that away by showing KF the door? The program is stable and ascending.
So what you are saying is that you think your coach is starting to figure it out and ready to take that next step?
I most certainly did answer your bs question. We did not exceed our expectations. We are just simply better than you. You give us a good picture that things could actually be worse, we could be Nebraska.
Which would mean you would be a team that did not exceed expectations and missed out on the playoffs. Right?
Not sure I’d word it exactly that way, but I think the right pieces are in place and there is a lot of talent (players and coaches) in the football building with one of our best recruiting classes ever coming in next year. Why blow that up to go hire someone like Rhule or another mediocre recycled guy? Iowa ain’t getting a Kiffin or Big name coach so probably not going to get a better fit than Kf. It ain’t broke so why try and fix it.
that is correct, we were not a top 12 team, but we didn't fold like some teams, and we are most certainly a top 25 team, and just about everyone knows it.
Now, iowa fans, how many years would you give a coach to make the playoffs before you wanted him gone?

I mean, let me know how that is working for you. In the current format he would have made the playoffs 4-5 times in his career. Such is life. Iowa fans are only over here because beating low tier Nebraska is the only thing they can brag about. This is the most talented team they’ve had in years and they still can’t beat a ranked team. How long is that drought again? It makes them feel good to brag about beating Nebraska, Minnesota, Maryland… but when it comes to beating good teams… They’ll put all these guys in the NFL and they still can’t win any big games. Or beat any rank teams. Let them have their fun over here…and then they can enjoy getting boat raced by Vanderbilt in their bowl game.

Yes, if your coaches are not winning at the expectations that the fans and AD have set, they should be fired. Now, of course that is within a certain time frame but I think somewhere between year 3 and year 25, that you kind of know what you have, right?
I never thought Bo was a flat out __________, not sure what you were saying there but I don't need my head coach to be my friend. Just like I don't need the guy that installs my floors to be my friend, I just need them to do a good job.
I am always upset at any season that doesn't end in a Championship. As a fan and as a coach...all I want to do is win it all.
The same as it is for teams that keep their coach that doesn't win anything.
Let me ask you this and please, be honest. Would you keep using an average mechanic or doctor or financial advisor? Or would you look for the best?
but, regardless, they beat the crap our of us continually. You can't tell me that if we were winless all year and beat Iowa that this board wouldn't be chest bumping and finger pointing to the dawn of something new and big coming the following year.
It really is simple, you have to win. If you don't, you deserved to get harassed and made fun of because our fans have been finger pointing and name calling for years. Win and you have bragging rights and you can bring up all of the hillbilly remarks if that is what turns people on. Its called winning and we have not done it.

Those professions affect my life personally but the football coach of the team I root for doesn’t. Football is entertainment. I hope a plan is in place for KF’s retirement in the next 2 years but he isn’t getting fired. You need to deal with the fact you are in the Big 10, if you would have been from the start you wouldn’t have any championships and your entitlement attitude.
