I googled the winning percentages, since year 2000, which I arbitrarily picked as “modern” football that most fans can relate to.

Colorado is at 47.8%; Missouri at 57.7%; and Iowa at 62.2%. By the way, Nebraska’s win percentage since 2000 is 57.9%. 🥴
2000? What?

That seems about as unarbitrary as possible.

Since you don’t know when modern football started shows you don’t know **** about college football history.

Two platoon football and unlimited substation was the start of modern football and that began in 1964. These are the facts and that can’t be disputed.

Until Nebraska starts respecting their opponents and themselves instead of being fake tough guys, they will continue to lose to Iowa.

Not really. Your culture prevents your team being anything more than it is right now. The results are irrefutable. When you get to the clutch moments of games Nebraska folds, this doesn't just happen during Iowa games either. If I'm just a stupid Iowa fan please explain to me how the cornhuskers FIND ways to lose winnable games every year. At the 1st sign of trouble in a game Nebraska mentally crashes. That's team culture. If I'm wrong please enlighten me.

is nothing but drama. Your mentality is weak. Your fans are always living in fantasy land. Kirk Ferentz is your daddy. Put respect on his name. Give me all the next year, future nonsense you can. You are irrelevant in the cfb world. a laughing stock. The cupcakes of the BIG. Im here for it. Tell me how great you once was or will be.
The only thing you are wrong about is thinking that we care about Kirk Ferentz. Every year he is rehired we rejoice because we know at least Iowa won't win anything important. The scary thing is if Iowa actually hired a good coach, they might win a national title and have a leg to stand on in arguments against Nebraska. No program cares about winning when both teams are mediocre to bad. Nobody brags about it. The only bragging rights are when you beat everybody, and only Nebraska has done that in this conversation.

What games did we lose in winnable games besides Minnesota? Considering Dylan was injured in a game against USC that was winnable game another where we didn’t respect our opponents.

You guys played hard, no question but did you play smart? Admittedly I didn't get a chance to watch sc and Nebraska closely. I know Nebraska had the lead late and 'sc won in the 4th, same thing happened to Iowa. Let me ask, was there a big penalty or turnover that switched the game in the 4th? An example of the culture I'm talking about is after Barney got hit and fumbled (yes it was a helmet to helmet if I'm being honest) what was the response by Nebraska on the kickoff? A personal foul. Understandably the player was upset, but disciplined players and teams dont compound problems, this is a microcosm of games can quickly avalanche against you.

The targeting changed the game no question but Lateef suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the game that was consequential. If the hamstring injury would have happened to your QB during the game would have made a huge difference in the outcome of the game as well.

He moved to TE and was only used for short yardage situations which was mostly unsuccessful.
Gotcha, keep in mind Iowa won last year with 4th string walk-on qb Jackson Stratton. I think Lateef made some really good throws that were either dropped or defended really well. It isnt sexy but Nebraska should have handed the ball to Johnson 50 times and I'm not joking. The way to beat the Iowa defensive scheme isnt that complicated. You have to pound the rock even when it isnt working because it brings the safeties out of their assignments. The defense APPEARS faster than what the players actually are, get the defenders to play out of their regular assignments and everything slows down, reaction time ect. Most teams aren't disciplined enough to do it over 4 qtrs. Oregon unfortunately had the perfect gameplan and still only won by 2. Basically Ferentz makes you beat him ugly, unless you've got great wide outs (usc). Anyway I think Nebraska has to build from the lines out and I think Bo Pelini had you guys on the right track, but in this day and age not only do you have to coach well, but also be good at PR, and likeable to your fan base.

For the record I'm a northeast iowa guy, most of my hatred is reserved for Wisconsin, and my disdain for Minnesota. I dont hate you guys, most huskers fans I've met are pretty fun to party with.

This is just to the fellow Husker fans. Participating in this kind of thread is not productive. It should be embarrassing, it should make you angry, it should make you want to do something to influence the program to make the real changes necessary.

There is a formula for success that worked here, and it would still work again, if anyone had the balls to actually implement that formula.. for some reason, every swinging dick we hire, (except one) won't follow the formula. Also, see what happened to Wisconsin recently after Barry retired, as he was using the formula too.

It's not going to happen until we as the fans, collectively refuse to support the program anymore.

I'm done spending money on it. I'm not buying anymore tv packages, merch, or going to any more home games until the administration gets the message and makes the changes needed. That's all any of us can do on an individual basis. That is what it's going to take.
