It was pathetic, classless, and dangerous.

Theyre already riled up with the f-u chants. Theyve beaten Kansas every year,  two out of the last 3 at home ?
Why rush the court ?

They should  have multiple  warnings  before  the  game,  that anyone who steps  on the  court, will be fined,
or jailed.

Or the could have a large security  contingent,  surround the court ,before to prevent it, or in case they couldn't,
surround them afterwards to hand out citations or haul them to jail.

Threatening the HC, and taking  a swing at an opposing player is bush league.

We don't and haven't storm the floor. Act like you've been there before. I love K State and understand what beating Kansas means, but it's just going to end up causing a real problem. There were four different fans that went after Kansas players shown today.

I think most Louisville fans have alot of respect for Kansas St. and their fans going back to our brief football series. I for one enjoyed watching your team take down KU but this court storming has got to stop before something really bad happens.

People like Holly Rowe from ESPN who was actually court-side last night commented that it was scary but said that she would hate to see "the kids" not be able to have the fun of running onto the court after such a big win. I think that is BS. If you want to allow that to happen at least provide enough security to get the opposing team off the court before any fan gets on the floor.

Better yet, announce that a short pep rally will be held on campus 30 minutes after each home win. Now get off my lawn!

I saw a wall of yellow-shirted guards blocking off the Kansas bench. There needs to be more done to protect the in game players and the coach at the handshake.

Other than that, everyone knows it's coming, why can't it be properly managed?

It's illogical to provide a venue for the fans, rile the fans up with an overwhelming challenge and then expect to corral the excitement at the moment of victory. Everyone is culpable; fans, admin, media, TV watchers etc. Without the fans passion there is no game and the admonishing hypocritical media members wouldn't have a job.

Don't let UofL fans on here demean you or your school. There's a good chance some of them were hanging on the goal post when we beat FSU in football back in '02.

Hey Briggs, didn't we pseudo storm the court when we beat #2 Syracuse? I know it wasn't an all out storm, but I think we did. The difference, though, is that was more circumstance that warrants it a bit. We were unranked at the team, beat #2 Syracuse, final home game in Freedom Hall.

Freedom Hall's final game was a partial court storming.
That had nothing to do with the game itself.

That was because of the history of the moment.

I think court storming is ridiculous. Even more so when the stormers are ranked themselves.

I don't mind when the kids/students storm the court and celebrate a big victory. When it extends to the adults and or the entire fan base it becomes too much and dangerous. Don't let the Louisville posters who claim that we don't storm the court because we've been there before fool you. The real reason that UofL doesn't storm the court is because the lower level seats closest to the court are all occupied by rich old people instead of students. Those fans cannot be bothered to stand up and cheer let alone storm the court. I say enjoy the victory, and have fun while you can.

It was the final game at Freedom Hall. Whenever the Jayhawks beat their opponent at the final game at Allen Fieldhouse, their fans will rush the court if there aren't steps taken to prevent it (which they probably should - especially if they play K-State, haha).

Screw the "act like you've been there" stuff as far as I'm concerned. I have been there...as a college student. Everything is a reason to party at that age. Take precautions for the safety of the players and coaching staffs, then let the kids flood the court, high five everybody within arms reach; take some selfies; and generally hoop and holler. Life isn't so serious for them; let them have their fun.

I think court storming is fine, BUT they need to assure the visiting team exits the floor first.

As long as security is there to make sure nothing gets out of hand, I have no problem with it. Let college kids have fun when their team beats their ranked rivals.

I only saw it mentioned via highlights and replays, I didn't actually see it live.

To be honest, I guess I don't really understand them. I may be mistaken but I thought I heard it said the Kansas State stormed the court last year as well, if that is true than you've had that court storming moment when you upset some high ranked opponent, that once in a lifetime win but once you've had it, it is done. You no longer consider beating someone of that caliber a once in a lifetime thing. Kansas State has even been ranked a few times the last few years and has beaten Kansas several times so in that case it shouldn't happen anymore.

Louisville fans have bickered on these boards before about whether they would try and storm the field in football if they beat so-and-so who is in the top 10. I get very annoyed by that logic and disagree with them 100% UofL did that once.....in 2002 they beat number 4 ranked Florida State on a Thursday night ESPN game. Louisville was unranked at the time. That was our one moment. It has been done and we should never do it again. We should expect to beat top teams from time to time. Louisville has had other big wins since then and has had wins in the Orange Bowl and the Sugar Bowl and has had other wins over top 10 teams. There's no reason to ever storm the field again.

Kansas State has been there before, no reason they should storm the court again. I'm not really sure why you did it, you did it last year and beating Kansas at home has been done before. Why the big hoopla?

Also against WVU in 2006.

There may also have been one against Miami the same season; I can't remember.

Just my opinion but , A court storming after Freedom Hall's last game would have been very cool . I have some very fond memories in that place !
