On TV, it appeared the upper level was completely empty. Did they sell tickets for these seats? If not, why- capacity for the Yum Center is under 21,000.

I was in the upper arena. The entire place was cpmpletely packed. I was pretty disappointed that a ton of people left at half time. Didn't really understand that.

Packed...and the empty seats you may have seen were from those of us who were lucky enough. To find Purdue fans to give us their lowers.

It's called real life - school, careers and bills to pay and for some a lengthy drive back home.

Late tip put a damper on it.

I was in upper arena today. It was packed for the night session. Very few open seats. Actually there were more open seats in lower arena.

Biggest reason: the powers that schedule these games do not work for a living. It's 5am and I'm up and ready to go to work but others are still in bed at 9am!!

If the game had been at Rupp, you would have seen 3 or 4 threads about how Rupp Arena sucks, how all the "blue hairs" should give up their seats for the "real fans", and how all the "real fans" that are so much louder attend the neutral sites. Plus they would say how the "real fans" stay for the entire game and support the team. I don't blame these folks for leaving, when it was such a late game, especially with the ot game ahead of it, but the season ticket holders at Rupp, should not be trashed, every chance some of you get.

WindcatFan60, you are totally correct. I had seats in 327 about 4 rows from the top and some people were actually sitting in our seats when we got there during the UC-Purdue game! So, as good fans, we let them sit there and went down to the lower arena and found much better seats for the rest of the game, as well as the UK game! There were a few empty seats in the lower arena but the upper arena was packed.
