On TV, it appeared the upper level was completely empty. Did they sell tickets for these seats? If not, why- capacity for the Yum Center is under 21,000.

Lighting is very different in upper arena. Looks extremely dark from lower sections and on tv.
Entire place was full.
It's called real life - school, careers and bills to pay and for some a lengthy drive back home.Originally posted by Cats_Tops:
I was in the upper arena. The entire place was cpmpletely packed. I was pretty disappointed that a ton of people left at half time. Didn't really understand that.
Biggest reason: the powers that schedule these games do not work for a living. It's 5am and I'm up and ready to go to work but others are still in bed at 9am!!Originally posted by stoneycat_20:
Why did the 1 overall seed play the midnight game?

It's called TV ratings. Prime time plus tip on west coast was only about 7.
WindcatFan60, you are totally correct. I had seats in 327 about 4 rows from the top and some people were actually sitting in our seats when we got there during the UC-Purdue game! So, as good fans, we let them sit there and went down to the lower arena and found much better seats for the rest of the game, as well as the UK game! There were a few empty seats in the lower arena but the upper arena was packed.Originally posted by WildcatFan60:
I was in upper arena today. It was packed for the night session. Very few open seats. Actually there were more open seats in lower arena.
