The article on Frost's firing in the Lincoln Journal lists Zac Taylor as a potential new coach. I had never even considered him. He might be a good choice but I know little about him as a coach. Thoughts?

Why would he give up the NFL and a promising young QB for a job here? Just dont see that happening

I brought him up twice last week. He’s making 4/year but the NFL schedule would be a problem.

Pay raise and long term contract. That said I think the hire will be a coordinator which doesn’t eliminate Joseph. He’s got a LOT of supporters in Lincoln.

I don’t consider him because he is leading Cincinnati after a Super Bowl year and NFL job he isn’t walking away from..

Man Bengals o-line is trash. Where have we seen that before? If they don't get that fixed Burrows will be carted off the field one of these games
He was lucky to survive last year. I figured they would fix O line. He'll get killed after another season like that.

There is more job security and money in college football if you can establish a winning program. After Frost, the bar of success has been lowered to the bottom and this might be a good move for a coach like Taylor. Right now 7 wins a year would be a gift from the gods. Not hard if you are a decent coach.

He would have to be let go after a bad season this year for that to happen, but yes longevity is much safer in college than the NFL..

Head coaches do not willingly leave the NFL to coach college. Pure comedy by you folks.
