Sources: Gonzaga in talks with Big 12 about joining conference

Gonzaga is in talks with the Big 12 about the possibility of joining the conference, sources told ESPN.

So Big 12 is becoming the new Big East. Bsketball only schools. How lame. They might as well join they own the Big 12 anyway.

I think it does nothing to fix the bigger issue, which is that every school is a sitting duck for a larger league, and the schools have zero motivation to fix it as they don’t want to be screwed should a bigger league come calling. But the bigger issue is likely unfixable, so it’s not the worst thing in the world to add a little value on the hoops side. But for WVU it just adds more travel and further isolates us as the random Eastern school in a Midwest/pacific conference.
