@HUBER - my mom is looking at either a Ferris 2100 60" cut or a Scag Tiger Cat 2 60" cut. She mows about 4 acres of rough land(used to be woods). Will wear out a typical lawn mower in a year or two.

Either would be a great option. The Ferris has by far the best ride comfort of any zero turn mower around. Where are you guys located at? If you aren't near Lexington, maybe I can recommend a dealership close to you who I know would take care of you. You are also welcome to call the dealership anytime and I would be happy to answer any questions you have. My name is Jason and I'm the only one here at Central Equipment.

Oh, you can do it......and it's easier than you think. Now, holding a beer, spit cup, and cigar???......now that's the trick.

I drink beer and stripe the hell out of my yard at least once a week. #ProfessionalBeerDrinkingLawnMowerDude

For Huber... by any chance did Exmark or Scag make the Bunton brand several years back? I believe Bunton made a lot of golf course maintenance equipment.

We had a low-level commercial grade Bunton that was awesome, but I heard the company was subsequently bought out. I would love to find out the original manufacturer.

Bunton was their own manufacture and they were built in Louisville. We were a distributor of theirs for many years until they were purchased in 1998 by Textron who subsequently ran them into the ground. Buntons were by far the best more built walk behind in their day and I still see several 20 year old mowers on the back of commercial mowing trailers to this day. Exmark is in Nebraska and Scag is Wisconsin.

Thanks for the input. She is in Madisonville. I think the Scag dealer is in Nebo, Ky and the Ferris dealer is in Mortons Gap, Ky.

I live 500 miles away, so I haven't seen either mower.

Went with a Ferris and really like it. Smoothest ride of all of them that I tried. Finally started my mowing business as well. In Madison county area. Give me a holler if you're interested.

My great friends, the Johnson family owns Johnson Sales in Mortons Gap, right outside of Madisonville. They both a Ferris and Scag dealer and are one of the best in the state when it comes to taking care of their customers and having a tremendous service department. Tell them your buddy Jason Huber in Lexington sent you and they will take even better care of you. Can't recommend them enough and only miles away from her.
