Alabama quarterback Bryce Young inks another NIL deal

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has no shortage of NIL options so far in the Name, Image, and Likeness era in college football. The unflappable quarterback is not only the front-runner in the Heisman Trophy race, but he also finds himself among the top earners in college athletics from NIL deals.

His bank account is about to get a little bit bigger. Logan’s Roadhouse, a barbeque restaurant that was founded by Dave Wachtel and Charles McWhorter, has signed Young to a NIL partnership. Through the sponsorship, the Crimson Tide signal-caller will promote Logan’s on social media, as well as in on air radio segments for local radio stations.

“We’re beyond excited to unite with such a talented and humble player like Bryce,” said SPB Hospitality President of Concepts Josh Kern. “He’s an incredible student athlete with fans across Alabama and the rest of the country. With Logan’s strong presence in Alabama, this partnership made perfect sense for us. We can’t wait to fuel Bryce with Logan’s mesquite wood-grilled steaks and plenty of signature made-from-scratch rolls. Roll Tide!”

Young has already stated he plans to use the NIL deal to treat his offensive linemen to dinners for all the hard work they put in blocking for him. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to partner with Logan’s Roadhouse,” Young said.

“This brand proudly serves the Alabama communities that have supported me throughout my college football career. I can’t wait to enjoy delicious meals – like my favorite Logan’s eight-ounce Filet Mignon – and the best rolls in town each week! And, with Logan’s visits on me, I’ll get to show my offensive line just how much I appreciate them.”

The deal with Logan’s is just the latest of many off-the-field partnerships Young is involved in. He launched his own NFT project back in August. The California native has also been making appearances on The Volume podcast network for Colin Cowherd. In addition to the podcast for Colin Cowherd, fans can also hear Young each week on his own podcast, The Bryce Young Podcast.

While he’s having incredible success off-the-field, none of that would be possible without him playing at a high level for the Crimson Tide offense in 2021.

So far in 2021, Young has completed 69.6 percent of his passes, while throwing for 2,082 passing yards, tossing 24 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. The sophomore quarterback currently ranks fourth in the country in quarterback rating (180.4).

Bryce Young and the Alabama Crimson Tide face off against the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM EST from Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
