The Clemson Tigers have set their sights on the 2023 and 2024 classes and that focus crystalizes this weekend with a quality group of visitors slated for unofficial visits.

While there are some quality juniors scheduled to visit, the list does lean more toward the 2024 class, headlined by top sophomore recruit and No. 1 quarterback Jadyn Davis of Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day.

The visit is Davis’ third to Death Valley over the past year. He was last at Clemson on Nov. 11. He was previously on campus last summer. Don’t forget that Davis is originally from South Carolina. He played his first two seasons at Catawba Ridge (S.C.) High School. He transferred to Providence Day School for the spring semester of his junior year.

Clemson has been heavily involved in Davis’ recruitment for quite some time. During the fall football season, he told On3’s Jeremy Johnson he’s built a great bond with Tigers’ quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei

Another top-10 2024 target visiting Clemson

While a lot of the attention has been on Davis’ visit, insiders are just as fired up about KJ Bolden’s trip to Clemson this weekend. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound four-star prospect out of Buford, Ga., ranks as the No. 7 2024 prospect in the country.

Bolden told Joseph Hastings of On3’s Clemson Sports that he recently hopped on the phone with wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham ahead of his trip.

Hastings reported that Grisham emphasized to him once again that the Tigers don’t go after too many prospects in general. He also mentioned that Clemson does not offer sophomores, something that Bolden previously said was “kind of hard” because of his interest in the program.

Grisham’s message to him is that they’re ready to get him on campus, with Bolden telling Hastings that he’s looking forward to this weekend’s trip.

4-star junior LB visiting Clemson

Four-star 2023 linebacker Jamal Anderson of Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek is heading to Clemson this weekend with hopes of earning an offer from the Tigers.

Anderson ranks as the No. 202 player in the On3 Consensus. He’s definitely a candidate for an offer because other linebacker offers, like Drayk Bowen (Notre Dame) and Raylen Wilson (Michigan), have already committed elsewhere. The Tigers have also started to expand their offer board with other names like Dee Crayton. Anderson certainly is a top prospect like Crayton.

The good news is that the On3 RPM is trending toward the Tigers at 37.3%. That lean is even before Clemson has offered.

2024 Georgia WRs set for Clemson visit

Making the trek from Georgia to Clemson this weekend are top 2024 receiver targets Joseph Stone of Loganville (Ga.) Grayson and Debron Gatling of Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton.

Stone is very familiar with the Tigers as he’s visited for the Florida State game and several camps. On top of checking out Clemson this Saturday, Stone intends on visiting Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Penn State, Ole Miss and Oregon in the next few months.

Like Stone, Gatling is also hoping for a coveted sophomore year offer from the Tigers. He told Hastings in January that an offer from the Tigers would “mean a lot” to him.

Besides visiting Clemson this weekend, Gatling is hoping to take trips to Ohio State and Texas this spring. Gatling attends the same program that has 2023 safeties Bryce Thornton and Robert Billings, both of whom collected offers from Clemson over the past four days.

Stone will also be joined by his teammate Waltclaire Flynn Jr. on the visit this weekend. Flynn has a long list of offers already. Clemson certainly is a player in his early recruitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. On top of Flynn Jr. and Stone lining up visits to Clemson, they’ll be joined by a couple of their teammates from Grayson. 2024 tight end Kylan Fox and 2024 cornerback Zion Ferguson, both of whom possess a handful of Power Five offers to this point, are slated to check out Clemson on Saturday as well.

Another sophomore to keep an eye on that is visiting is in-state offensive Kam Pringle of Dorchester (S.C.) Woodland. Clemson and South Carolina are listed as his top teams, per the On3 RPM.
