Carrollton (Ga.) Central four-star athlete Vicari Swain received an offer from Colorado on Friday. The South Carolina commit announced the news over social media.

Swain is the No. 562 overall prospect and No. 22 athlete in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also a three-star recruit and the No. 50 player in Georgia.

On3 rates Swain higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 104 overall prospect, No. 4 athlete and No. 7 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-0.5, 175-pound recruit has been committed to the Gamecocks since Aug 12. He currently holds seven offers.

Swain’s offer comes within the first week of Deion Sanders‘ tenure as the Buffaloes’ head coach. Sanders has already landed multiple commitments, including Derby (Kan.) four-star running back Dylan Edwards, Fort Myers (Fla.) IMG Academy 2025 four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr., Columbus (Ohio) KIPP Columbus three-star offensive tackle Jordan Hall

Colorado’s 2023 recruiting class contains 12 commitments. It is led by Edwards, who recently backed off his pledge to Notre Dame.

Swain has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Vicari Swain On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Vicari Swain:

“One of the rarest athletes in the country whose movements are both silky and explosive. Possesses elite fluidity and hip looseness. Two-way starter at both safety and wide receiver. Measures in at 6-foot, 175 pounds with a 6-foot-3 wingspan. Tested off the charts during the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season by jumping a 34-inch vertical as well as an absurd 11-foot broad jump.

“Ran an electronically-timed 4.65 40-yard dash during the spring camp circuit prior to his junior season. Not afraid of contact and detonates opponents at the point of attack. Inconsistent pass catcher, but flashes high point ability. Projects best to safety at the next level and should be a versatile chess piece for defensive coordinators.”
