Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange senior wide receiver Jayden Gibson gave Florida fans a reason to sigh with relief on Saturday.

The No. 138 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus announced via Twitter that he will stick with his commitment to Florida.

Gibson announced that he was reopening his recruitment on Monday. He said he was remaining committed to the Gators but he had intentions of looking at his options.

Gibson’s announcement came a day as a result of Florida head coach Dan Mullen being let go on Sunday.

Saturday, Gibson tweeted his mind was again made up.

“I’m locked in with the gators man! did some thinking and I don’t wanna go anywhere else in the country,” Gibson said in his tweet.

Gibson originally committed to Florida in October. He chose the Gators over offers from Georgia, Miami, Baylor, South Carolina and others.

Florida lost another potential wide receiver earlier this week when four-star athlete Buford (Ga.) Isaiah Bond backed off his pledge to the Gators.

Bond is the No. 113 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus rankings.
