LSU wide receiver Jalen Brown has committed to Florida State out of the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Brown just wrapped up his true freshman season under head coach Brian Kelly, appearing in just three games. The wide receiver was able to preserve a year of eligibility, taking a redshirt.

Quite a few big-time schools were in on Brown during his commitment before LSU wound up winning out. The hometown Miami Hurricanes were certainly one of them, while Florida State, Michigan, and Texas were involved as well.

Florida State took another crack at the talented wide receiver and won out.

Brown played high school football at Miami (FL) Gulliver Prep, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 79 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
